Safely Insured
Hi all, I thought some of you might be interested in seeing my MR2. It has just come out of the bodyshop and has had a full respray with a wide arch conversion.. The MR2 runs a 3SGTE with a couple of mods.. probably has about 250BHP on a good day; lots of other mods planned when my bank balance recovers With the power to weight ratio this is already a very quick car... It is known as a 'Mk1.5' as it is a Mk1 with a Mk2 turbo engine. It will be on display at Japfest if anyone wants to come and check it out Cheers Ollie Sky Insurance
Scott
Love the MK1.5's especially when you get the car restored to the condition you have. Absolutely hate the exhaust though. Thumbs up for the rest

Safely Insured
wonder what the insurance is like on a Mk1 with a mk2 enigine+ mods , different backbox, aftermarket alloys, and no doubt a few other mods not discussed yet £650 all in, everything declared. 26 year old, good postcode, limited miles etc... Do you like the car or are you just concerned I am not disclosing the mods?
Gaz6002
Good work Ollie, that's an interesting car. Do you track it? If so, do you have track insurance through Sky?

4packet
I've had a brief thrash in a track nail version with a similar spec to this round the tarmace at Cardington Hangers. Seemed pretty decent. They'd stuck the intercooler in the boot (no lid) and were using the mk2 twin exit exhaust from memory which looked neat. My only gripe was the diagonal roll cage brace was very close to the gear lever and they hadn't got round to bolting the seat down which made cornering interesting!
