n boost
I have mapped most my own cars and a few mates cars mainly using piggybank ecu's. Tbh u need some background expierence and understand the effects of changing timing/fuelling. Do a search on efi universty who have info and they also run courses etc but are in the states
Muffleman
Must be another one of those trades that you are gifted with & all top secret Nope not at all, took me 18months or so but I'm mapping and have happy customers Still lots to learn but I accept it's a continual process. Start off by reading http://www.amazon.co.uk/Forced-Induction-Performance-Tuning-H691/dp/1859606911/ref=cm_lmf_tit_6_rsrsrs0, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Four-stroke-Performance-Tuning-Practical-Guide/dp/1844253147/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1209058738&sr=1-2 - no point mapping unless you understand the implications of what you're doing etc. There was a couple of engine management books I read too that were quite good, I'll dig the details out. But it also helps if you know someone in the industry, I do and they taught me the practical side. I used one of my own cars to practice on too, my poor little MR2 turbo has run a dastek piggyback, EMU and now an AEM That should get you going
