Franko
I have 6000k Hids in my normal driving lights, im wondering to get them into my fog lights and into my full beam, do i have to buy new kits with new transformers or is there another way? Dont want to have another 2 kits wired up to my battery tbh
johnny g
I've got my HID's installed - dipped and fog ... they're fine.
Pixelfill
As I understand it Franko, it's another 4 ballasts Mike
wile e coyote
Shame that as i was thinking the same
Franko
hm another 4 ballasts = more battery drain = less engine power and more fuel used? not really worth it then. Although they do look great
robin
HID lights depsite the huge ballast to regulate/raise voltage use less power then conventional incandescent bulbs in most cases.
NeoMagic
HID's only draw a significant voltage initially to ignite the gas inside the bulb, The ballasts do very little work after they are first switched on apart from supply a current. You would need another two ballasts to run the fogs and another two again to run them on high beam. Well worth it though provided you have them all aligned and don't use anything more than 6000k bulbs as it's a tad chav and pointless to go further up the Kelvin scale.
