bodilx6
Just driving along normally yesterday I noticed a hiss when the 1st turbo goes to positive boost. Sounds something like the induction suction but still not the same. Hasn't been there before. Its only audiable at low boost due to the engine noise at higher than 3000 rpm or so. I'm BPU and getting just below 1 bar on the 1st turbo and 1,1-1,2 on the second. I though it must be a boost leak, but my boost gauge seems normal and I have really given it the beans a few times to see if a hose popped off. No change. The car maybe a bit slower that usual at higway speeds but it is very hard to detemine. I have looked through all things possible from above without anything showing and I'm going to jack it up one of these days to check from the bottom. I'm a bit baffled that the boost gauge is acting normally, can that be right? Can if create pressure in the manfold (where my boost gauge is connected) if I have a leak? But can it be anything else? What do I need to look fore except cracks or hoses poped off. Can it be anywhere else that the IC hoses.
Sheefa
Post this is technical mate and you'll get a better response. I would of thought if you had a boost leak, split pipe or dodgy vsv then you'd notice a drop on the gauge and not spool to the 1.1/2 bar. Stock BOV?
