Barney
Would be interested to hear what people use to clean the matt finish on the dash, I've tried loads of different products with varying levels of sucess, but nothing that I can say I'm a 100% happy with. Steve W2
I think some silicone based stuff is what a valeter on here used, looked really good. It's shit stuff though, have you considered painting it? Looks good, you can choose your colour as well. You should note it is a donkey to do though. The Hornet
Back to black in an aerosol form, looks like a clear laquer. I use it in engine bay and on my bike too.

paul mac
mine was starting to look a bit tatty and being a bit of a purist i wanted to keep the standard look, re-sprayed it with halfords matt black (dont be tempted to buy any cheap shit=orange peel, and lightly clean it first with turps) well pleased, it looks as good as new, with regard to cleaning if you want to keep the original matt finish a bit of stardrops (just a bit) in warm water and dont rub to hard
Barney
Thanks guys. Hornet: Using B to B at present, the best I've tried so far but not great. Steve/Paul. As poor as the original finish is, I've seen painted ones and I'm afraid that route is not for me........looks like my testing of products continues!! Barney
Thanks Paul. Thing is, my matt dash parts etc are in good condition, so I don't really want to get into taking it all apart and spraying it, although after reading your post I'm a tad tempted ....must resist, must resist!! I did actually mean for him to use a matt finish to keep the original look. I actually sprayed mine metallic black, which I think looks really good. It looks like tyhe car was designed with it as it blends in with the rest of black interior. Just IMO it looks classy!
