s-u-p-r-a
Hi guys i was wondering if there is any more mods i could do to my 94 jap n/a i have a full stainless on and a indution kit also ive got better ht leads and plugs and running 125hp nitrous kit, i was thinking ov a chip but i dont know anyone who does a good chip. what else do you think i could do cheers s-u-p-r-a
Alex
There isn't a chip for it. - a decatted exhaust will free up a bit of power though. Just remember you need the cats back in for the MOT's. (Well I assume your full stainless is from the Cats back? If it's all the way to the manifold then you've done about all you can)
Clarkey
Is the "chipping" a bit of con ? As far as I understand all "chipping" is ...a bleed valve to increase the boost & a fuel cut defender. Is that right ??

Whitesupraboy2
i done a list once, just found it. Sure there may be a few more things. Exhaust De-Cat (like u say u done) Cams TOMS ECU (exspensive i think) Pulleys Custom cold air intake (with dry ice cooling) ported & Polished Head iriduim plugs Uprated Plug leads Extra earthing grounding kit electric fans isntead of Viscous Weight saving (rear seats out, spare wheel out, tools out)
Nic
You could also add a lightweight flywheel to that list, wouldn't make a huge difference but would slightly improve engine response.

Nic
Also NOS could be added to the list.

s-u-p-r-a
it has got alot ov these parts on and some more like fuel regulator and a 100mm throttle body and polished heads but i am really thinking about getting a tt now and the insurance is only £100 more so i would be paying around £750 and thats not bad since i am only 22 , were would you go for these parts its hard to find places that even mod n/a supra's most of the places only ever want to mod tt's
Nic
I'll ask the tuners I use here in HK and see if they know of any other companies that do ECU upgrades for the NA.
Whitesupraboy2
its true the TT is way to mod. But with the right NA- T kit i believe it takes you to around 350 - 400BHP and more if you wanted. i think in US ive seen mentions of 550BHP. Also with the gear ratios being shorter on the NA to help with accerlaration you fly in accerlaration, not as high top speed but then when does anyone really go faster then 155mph regularly. Nic
I'm just wondering if it would be possible to fit the e-manage on an NA so the fueling/timing could be mapped to get a bit more power? Ian/Alex this could be your chance for a worlds first
s-u-p-r-a
i seem to have a good top end on my motor i have really looked after it so do you think a turbo on a n/a is a good way to go, i dont really want to sell it as i know were it as been and what it is has done, you here about too many horror stories, my mate bought one and it looked really good but he later found out that it had been in a big shunt i would hate this to happen but back to the original question were would i need to go to get a turbo for my non-turbo i have tryed some places but no joy i was going to try and fit a custom turbo but it seems that it is harder than i thought the car is running 290 hp with out the nos (well it was the last time it got tested)
Whitesupraboy2
there is a NA turbo kit designed to run with the engine. So is reliable and safe and comes with all you need. Terry on the forum is guy who sells and eals with it. heres a link to one to show there are some already designed for NA, but dont buy from suprastore....ive heard too many bad storys!! http://www.suprastore.com/sinturconkit.html also below is page with other stuff you could uprate on NA, but yet again id buy off someone on here, sure they can source parts for you. http://www.suprastore.com/supnanon.html
Nic
I've just received an email back from my tuners they said that they have fitted an e-manage and adjustable cam gears on a stock NA Supra and saw an increase of between 15-20rwhp on their dyno. s-u-p-r-a
this looks like a good kit i think i might keep my car now and spend the extra 3k on a nice turbo rather than spend it on a TT
The Pink Lady
the car is running 290 hp with out the nos I have spent a small fortune on mine and managed a mere 263.5 BHP what have you done different to get an extra 25 horses? Mandy
