Howsit guys

Previous owner ran the car(supra RZ) on leaded petrol with the stock cats in place...Now im back to unleaded....

Anyways.....I felt the car was a bit heavy on gas so decided to check the condition of the o2 sensor with one the guides on this forum.. Whipped out my multimeter...It increases from 0v to 0.3 to 0.8v in like 1sec or more ..then back to 0v which it then starts all over again to 0.8v like a constant loop..

Iv been looking at the bosch universal o2 sensors... Anyone using them ? also a part number would be nice :D ...Cant seem to find anything on the net.

Also would damaged cats affect performance ? im pretty sure they done for after running leaded petrol

And yes, leaded petrol will kill the cats and block them up so performance will be affected. It's possible that it will cause enough of a restriction that you'll also raise the EGT's and cause problems through that too. I'd either get new cats or go de-cat.

Fit a new OEM Toyota O2 sensor

What can i expect to pay for a OEM o2 sensor in the UK ? Im pretty sure Toyta South Africa wont be any cheaper...

I think a new downpipe might be in order..Its Jpec RZ

whats the difference between running leaded and unleaded? i thought for a unleaded car you needed unleaded?

also how much is a o2 sensor my car has 85k on the clock will it need changing?

Lew.

Leaded fuel will kill the cat.

If it still has the factory fitted O2 sensor then it will definitely need changing. A new O2 sensor should help improve mpg and make the engine run smoother at lower rpms.
