I like NSX's but going over to the NSX stand at JAE year before last I lost interest in them. The ones that were within reach price wise looked old and "used". They just don't hold their age like supra's do. They looked very cramped and uncomfortable to get in and out of. Lets face it a supe thats lowered aint easy to get in and out of with any decorum and thats tenfolded in the NSX. To change any part of that car is going to fleece you big time as well. Its stayed expensive for a reason, you have to be mentally keen to buy one . Handling wise from speaking to people its a "drivers" car. That means to me I'd crash it on the first bend basically, bit like an MR2 which is why I never bought one of them either.

Also when we are talking about rare I bet there isn't a single viper in this country that the owners club don't know. I have in my life only ever seen two. One on the road near Poole and the other at the dorset show on a stand next to a huge combine harvester. As for NSX's I've seen loads.

Yep the vioer will be a bar steward to drive and live with, it'll be cumbersome and a bit self made essex millionaire, but really it will be the car that raires more eyebrows and causes more pointing.

I got to drive a Viper that belonged to a guy who had no idea if there was a Viper owners club and also wouldn't have been interested if there was. I wonder if they knew of him?

I agree. Here's my thoughts from way back when I borrowed one.

I got to borrow a Viper recently. I've handily quoted from the thread it was in.

The Viper thing then. I've been a fan of the Viper for years. I loved the look of them and heard they go pretty well too. It's one of my 'dream cars' and I had an opportunity to buy one. A very close friend of the family is selling his and gave me the option to buy it. He also gave me it to drive for a couple of days (no more than 200 miles driving though) and I took it to work, the shops and out for a drive locally. I took it on the Mway (fun) and into the countryside (not fun) and in traffic and urban driving it's well, just a bit too much for someone who wants the car experience without all the attention.

It's completely the wrong car for a daily driver. It's lairy fast but very twitchy on the roads around here. It drove me mad in just a day. Admittedly it rained a bit earlier this week which is a pretty good way of testing it TBH. We don't have a lot of good weather but even when the roads were dry it just felt ready to dive for a hedge at any opportunity. It was too big in traffic and the LHD was a nightmare although I'm sure one could get used to it. Fuel economy was rubbish and I couldn't park it anywhere. It sounded awesome and really did go like stink. Like I said though, it is a 'dream' car and I couldn't imagine driving it every day or parking it up ungaraged. So it went back

Which was nice.:)
