Supra Pilot
Anyone have a FCD/FCC devise fitted to their post 98 VVTi? If so, what brand/model do you have? Thanks
Pete
I have a Speed M8 on mine. Why post 98? VVti was 97 onwards.
Supra Pilot
Post 98 because I have seen both GReddy, HKS and another brand list their FCD/FCC's as only 'up to' 98. After checking around, the VVTi's seem to be also only from 98 onwards... Hence maybe these units may not be fully compatible with the different VVTi's ECU's. Brought this up as again the lack of proper info on the VVTi ECU and adaptable mods. Reading through several different cases on the net there have been 2 indications on FCD's being fried(installation was stated as correct) and another 2 saying it worked but the cars were experiencing a notable dip/flat spot in Turbo transition. And yes I understand if you bypass that signal altogether then there would be some switching issues... So maybe that was the case, but apparently proper units were stated as used in those instances. I'm just gathering some info together as there are conflicting reports and lack of correctly stated information. Any input or corrections greatly appreciated.... The SpeedM8 is the TLD/DSC. Got my acronyms mixed up. Any chance of links to what you've read? I can't say I have any concerning dip on turbo transition - certainly nothing picked up on the RR. Ian C
I would have thought a boggo FCD on the MAP sensor line would work just fine?
Gaz Walker
I would have thought a boggo FCD on the MAP sensor line would work just fine? It will yeah, it works on the MKII VVTi Aristo's Gaz.
