movistar
I would have thought so...or you could get up five minutes earlier and let the car warm up first...better on the engine too.
redsupraman82
its really when i come home from work and its parked in the station. i have been warming it up, but after a night shift you really wanna get to bed and not sat in the car for an extra 10 mins. i really dont mind that much as ....same as all of you...love my car but just wanted a quicker option! the main reason i ask this is because its a J spec and just wondering if the paint is different in anyway? i know there is a lot of chemicals i guess in the deicer, so just wanted to know its safe before it takes my paint off!! Thanks:d

movistar
It will be fine...found though if it really cold the deicer just freezes too once the wipers are put on...have you thought about putting some tepid water in a bottle and using that if your coming out straight from work might work better no chemicals too, the wife has one of those screen things from halfords and she finds that works quite well... Start the car, a jug of warm water from the tap, pour it over the screen, then use your wipers straight away and off you go. I've never had a problem even on the coldest days doing that
redsupraman82
Great idea for home but its a bit hard to find a jug of warm water in a station car park.....although that has got me thinking....all i would need is a just really.....and a bush! Ah apologies. Even the new and improved network rail doesn't provide warm jugs of water at times of need A credit card it is. Or maybe get a proper scraper thingy instead
