AdzC
Has anybody seen this on Discovery with West Coast Customs? I really do think that they are a talented bunch of guys. When you see the craftsmanship you relaise that they were wasted on Pimp My Ride. They turned a Range Rover into a one of concept of a Range Stormer the first week then it showed the creation of the Shelby/West Coast Customs Mustang. If you haven't seen it yet it is definitely worth watching.
AdzC
Here's the Range Stormer that they did. And here's the Shelby/WCC Mustang
AndrewOW
A bit like Overhaulin' for the kids then? That Mustang is stunning. I'll have that for the collection (ahem)
JustGav
It is a LOT better than pimp my ride, but it is still is a bit borderline for me now.
Jamesy W
I'v just started watching it, one of the best programmes on the box. Thought it was gonna be just as cheesy as the Pimp My Ride series, what a pleasant surprise.
JustGav
Didn't think much of the mercedes they did as a 'favour' though... I was however impressed by the fact they created the Shelby car using metal for the bodykit rather than fibreglass.
AdzC
A bit like Overhaulin' for the kids then? That would be a fair comparison. It's just the craftsmanship that i'm in awe of. I think Overhaulin' edges it just from the more detailed design and crafting from Chip Foose.

I think Overhaulin' edges it just from the more detailed design and crafting from Chip Foose. Thing is, Chip Foose from what I have seen and read is a one in million type person, able to draw/design and actually do his own work. Chip by all accounts is a a really nice person and treats people his own way. I realize CMR is a tv show, but it shows Ryan as being a weak manager so far constantly relying on the others to do the staff management stuff. probrox
I watched this for the first time yesterday, and it was the Shelby Mustang. Absolutely love that car. Definately better than Pimp My Ride, especially the UK version with Westwood.

I was cringeing the other day when two of his staff started play fighting in front of the MD of their Dubai store. Then the next episode Ryan stands there whilst two of his staff virtually go toe to toe. He then gets Big Dane (the shop enforcer) to fire him only for the guy to turn up after the weekend and carry on working.

supradibbs
I thinks its very week The car will be a complete mess like in a 1000 pices then as if by magic in the last 2 mins of the show its done very fishy Plus how many people get fired in a show i counted 3 last night! AdzC
This is true but I think that's the way it's produced. They're trying to pass an image that a custom car can be done in a week which would be quite impossible with that Charger from last night.
ivan
I think that Ryan guy is as bad a boss as Boyd Coddington (was. - RIP)
