hadyn
Nosing around my supe today in the light i found a red oil can warning light and a yellow oil can warning light (they werent on i could just make them out through the back of the display) I presume the red one is obviously engine oil and the yellow/orange one is gearbox oil?? mawby
Nope, both engine oil. One is oil level warning and the other is oil pressure warning.
hadyn
is there a warning light for low gearbox oil?
Jake
i found a red oil can warning light and a yellow oil can warning light (they werent on i could just make them out through the back of the display) Don't your oil lights illuminate when you turn the ignition on without starting engine? CJ
nope I would get those sorted a bit sharpish as you now have no way of seeing if there is a problem in that area (other than the main engine warning display). The downside to this may be (worse possible scenario) that they were taken out deliberately to stop them illuminating due to a problem. Did you mention that the oil was low when you checked the car at first?
Ian R
Turn on your ignition and give the top of the dash above the lights a tap sometimes they can be a bit thickle. However if that doesn't work as CJ said get then sorted asap (second hand dealers have been known to disable them to hide a multitude of probems)

Did you mention that the oil was low when you checked the car at first? well being half full i thought it was low, but after asking a few questions on here, if the oil is between the L and F mark things are OK. I noticed after checking this weekend that after a 15 min drive the oil would show half full, but after being left for 2 odd hours would rise to about 3/4 full when checked again

Good to see you're an optimist -Ian

Matt Harwood
The lack of lights on the top right dash section is a very common problem. The legs are very easily broken off the board when removing the dash section. The cracks in the solder can be very small and not too easy to see. It's a fairly simple fix, just requiring a bit of soldering. - Really should be done ASAP
hadyn
fixed it today, took the front panel off and had a little play with the wires and hey presto all warning lights work now!! Looks like the wires had become loose from all the pulling out of the panel At least i know that the lights havent been cynically disconnected as im having a slight oil consumption problem at the mo
