Millsy
Had my Supra up for sale for a little bit now and hardly any interest. Is it just a bad time of year to be selling? Bearing in mind I'm basically pricing it at the very bottom of twin turbo money territory and there's nothing wrong with it apart from a few bits of paintwork, plus it has a new Mot, I'm hoping that's the case. Any suggestions on why it's not selling would be appreciated. If it doesn't sell soon then I'm going to tax it and drive it as I hate having it just sat in my garage! tooquicktostop
I have the same issue mate, a 6 speed TT for sale for less than 6K, there are a lot of Supras for sale at the moment and the economic climate is not good so I think the sale will take some time in most cases
Millsy
That's cheap. My auto TT was up for about 5.5 but reckon I'd take 5k for it now. But 6k for a manual seems crazy it hasn't sold. Maybe when they're cheap people think their are big problems with them!
jamesmark
With the price of petrol going up and up it will only get worse. Next they will find a way to tax us as we have gas guzzlers.
Millsy
Fair point - has anyone ever looked into lpg on a TT Supra? Maybe that's another post. Would probably keep it if I could get that done as need a more economical daily.

dr_blackman
I would of thought nearer the summer when there are more shows they will sell better
Millsy
Hmm, my engine's pretty much stock.
Gaz6002
Hmm, my engine's pretty much stock. It would be interesting if you did it and documented both the build and the results on here mate.
Millsy
Just e-mailed an LPG company for a quote on the conversion just out of interest. Rather sell the car though then mess about.

dangerous brain
I know a guy that has already put LPG on a twin turbo 2JZ albeit an aristo. It works perfectly and in fact produces more power on gas than petrol. He is GSW on the aristo forum if you are seriously interested. He lives in the midlands somewhere. Oh BTW there is never a good time to sell!! Stick with it and advertise it in as many places as possible.
Gazboy
The fact it needs an MOT doesn't help at all.
Millsy
Cheers for that. Worth looking into the costs of a conversion. Not sure what it would do to the re-sale value later on though!
Millsy
The fact it needs an MOT doesn't help at all. It's got one! Did you look at the pistonheads ad? Its an old one. Put it through an MOT and passed with just two new tyres put on the back and an advisory on front wheel bearing. So it's only the no tax thing that might not help but could sort that as still insured.
Charlotte
I don't think January is a particularly good time to sell any car, or anything for that matter.
Carl_S
Sell / advertise it with a higher / high price tag. (add about 2k) Then someone like me will come along and buy it if your lucky. Or do something niche to it. I think an LPG supra TT would be great if done properly.
Millsy
Carl S, did I forget to say it's advertised for 7k? I'll wait to see what the company I've e-mailed about lpg reckon! Probably pay for itself within 10,000 miles!
