Schumacher donated the money because his Bodyguard and his family were killed by the tsunami.

OOOO dear no doubt on a holiday paid for with the wages that Schummie had given them  I bet the poor guy feels awfull. I wouldn't want to be in his place, imagine how that must feel on a personal level. These people usually get quite intimately involved in each others families as well due to the close protection nature of the job.

What a good bloke....just over a billion raised only another 6 Billion to go...I think the fact that almost everyone in the UK has given more than a £1 on average is pretty incredible.(though i think everyone should give at least a tenner)

Anyone who hasn't been touched by what they have seen on the TV or in the newspapers...and hasn't given a little bit of dosh or donated clothes or whatever ......is no friend of mine !!!!

.....and its surprising how many tight cnuts their are that dont give a shit about others or seeing children suffering.....

I have to say I'm not a great fan of Children In Need when you think that everyone volenteers except Terry Wogan and a few others who still get paid a large fee....but this thing is different!
