  1. NB. Final food and drink ticket sales will be Friday 4th September. If you would like to join us after this time, please PM me!
  2. Just pays your money and we'll sort something Dane; I'm sure it will be a welcome distraction for said gopher!
  3. NB. Final ticket sales for food/drink will be 4th September (to allow me enough time to sort the finances). If you would still like to come after this time, it may be possible, but you'll need to pm me.
  4. 9-10pm should be fine, however I'd question the sanity of setting up a tent that late, so I'll pop my spare one in the car. (unless you were involved in abusing my chair last year!)
  5. Yeah - pop me a call tonight matey; happy to do things either way round!
  6. Harley - please have a look at the FAQ thread matey James - entry with jae is based upon how long you want to be there. If you only want food and drink for one night please pm me and we can sort something
  7. Are you eating with us Dane? I can provide a food gopher to bring stuff to you at meal times if that's any help? Chris - I'm assuming your BBQ skills haven't improved over the past two years? Are you happy doing washing up?! - - - Updated - - - Are you eating with us Dane? I can provide a food gopher to bring stuff to you at meal times if that's any help? 8. Fyi, I hold grudges and my revenge is planned
  9. Loving this list so far, thanks guys. My thoughts are... breakfast slot is 8am-10am, lunch is 12.30pm-2pm and evening meal slot is 6pm onwards. I think we'll try and have the bbq on again later on the Friday and Saturday nights too, weather dependant.(it worked well and kept people going two years ago). Thoughts on this idea please people?
  10. PAID list updated, and club stand location updated in the FAQ thread (Tatsumi T12-T19 in case anyone is interested already!). - - - Updated - - - ps. Please bring that tea towel too Malc... we'll need it!
  11. I'M the workforce motivator. You can be the chair monitor (or milk monitor, you choose )
  12. Funny you should say that... I was thinking the same! Mark Cattle too!
  13. Hi all, So, with JAE a month away it’s time I get this FAQ thing sorted! Please keep an eye on this thread, as I’ll be updating it as I think of things! The event itself is being held 10th-13th September at Newark showground. Although event opening time is 12pm on the Thursday, I’d appreciate it if people could hold off until after 5pm, unless I’ve been in contact with you about helping to set up. We’ll need time to get everything tidy, and it’s much easier and safer this way. Before I go link crazy, you must make sure you familiarise yourself with their safety notices: http://japcarclub.org/index.php/club-information/club-safety If you want any more general event info, the actual JAE website itself is very good, and can be found here: http://www.japcarclub.org/ We're located in Tatsumi, plots T12-T19. Here is the map: http://japcarclub.org/index.php/club-information/car-club-locations/tatsumi There are event rules about separation between tents and cars, so please do not just pitch your tent anywhere, and be prepared to take some direction on this when you arrive at the stand. I'm not being difficult, it will just save a lot of aggro in the long run! Once you’ve set up camp, I’d like cars moved to a designated area on the stand that I'll tell you about. Generally most people are getting involved with the big barbeque, but for the few that aren’t it’s worth noting that barbequeue’s are not allowed near the tents. There is a cooking roster so people know when mealtimes are. If you miss these, please don't complain you're hungry: Friday Breakfast: 8am-10am (Chef = Adi) Lunch: 12.30pm-2pm (Chef = Inazone) Evening meal: 6pm-8pm (Chef = Ian Ian) Late BBQ: 10.30pm (Chef = slow8dirty) Saturday Breakfast: 8am-10am (Chef = Karen) Lunch: 12.30pm-2pm (Chef = girth45) Evening meal: 6pm-8pm (Chef = Adi) Late BBQ: 10.30pm (Chef = Al Massey) Sunday: Breakfast: 8am-10am (Chef = Karen) Remainder TBC Shower and toilet facilities at the venue are very good, but note that towels and toiletries are not being provided by the club! Remember to purchase your entry ticket from the JAE people; the ticket from the club shop only covers food and drink. When you arrive, please come and see me for your wrist band. You will need to keep it on all weekend as this tells us you've paid for food and drink. In case you don’t know me, ask for Adi. Your food and drink for the weekend should be covered. In terms of alcohol there will be some kind of beer, some kind of cider, and some kind of wine. Various soft drinks etc too. If you want to bring anything more personal please feel free. The BBQ will be going at various points over the weekend as per the above timetable. We're also having cooked meals on the Friday and Saturday nights. If you have any special dietary requirements please give me a shout - I know we have a few veggies. Please note that the Thursday night is NOT a club funded drinking night. There are a few bits and pieces you will need to bring with you as follows: - Tent/sleeping gear - Chair - Bowl/Plate - Knife/Fork/Spoon - Mug - Something to keep you warm at night. Trust me, it's going to be cold at night!! (personally I'm bringing my fiancee but hot water bottles are a good idea too) **phone charging** I've purchased a 10 port USB hub for phone charging; I don't want the sea of plugs and wires from previous years, so now you have a better way. Please do not plug anything else in unless you've asked me; electricity is being provided in a different way this year. Malcolm has kindly confirmed other stand based entertainment as follows: Malcolm's Fun House (it's a bit like Pat Sharps fun house but with better hair): Friday: PlayStation Driving Friday: Hot Shots Shooting (I'm not entirely sure what this is but I've seen a picture and it looks very fun. We might need bibs!) Saturday day: Old Arcade Games On The PlayStation Saturday Day: Jenga On The Lawn Saturday Night: Finals. Hot Shots Shooting. Saturday Night: Finals PlayStation Driving. Saturday night: Speech. I'm guessing this means me! Beer pong (courtesy of JPOW!) If you get stuck, my mobile number is 07540 593917 or I virtually live on Facebook - Adi Moss Remember to bring your event entry tickets! The club ticket only covers food and drink! See everyone this weekend
  14. Hi All, In the interests of allowing me some sleep at the event (and so Karen isn't doing the washing up al the time!) I'm looking for volunteers to help with cooking and cleaning this year. We'll have a proper timetabled rota for meals (eg Friday breakfast or Saturday lunch slot), and there will be some kind of incentive for being involved (though I'm not completely sure what this will be yet!) Anyway; if you're down for this (the idea being a commitment to a designated ~2 hour slot on cooking or cleaning duty) please pop your name in this thread. Please try and keep chit chat to a minimum in this one please Thanks, Adi.
  15. Locking this thread... all posts in the official JAE thread please http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?324784-JAE-2015-The-official-Thread!
  16. Right guys; things have started to calm down for me, so big push starts on this now! Good list so far, and I'll update the paid list now. Malcolm - will give you a call this evening
  17. Great, thanks! Needs must with the car; I reckon it's done like a thousand miles since its last MOT and I need a nicer daily!
  18. Hi All, Finally the official MKIVSUPRA.NET JAE thread is here! (on the same day I've put the car up for sale [/shamelessplug]) This year JAE has moved to a different location. Where: Newark Showground When: 10-13 September 2015 Tickets for food, drink and the club stand only are now available in the club shop: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?224835-Online-Shop This ticket will cover all of your food and drink for the weekend, as well as space on the club stand, but will NOT get you in to the venue. To get in, you'll need to buy a ticket from JAE themselves, from here: http://www.japcarclub.org NB. Thursday night is not a club funded drinking night for this money. Final ticket sales will be Friday 4th September; if you still want to come after this time, please PM me! In case anyone is interested, ticket distribution is a big job, and this will save me a lot of time! 19. On a serious note; anything Jap is welcome; first come first served once the tickets are on sale. If I need to make the club stand bigger, it'll be a nice problem to have (but most importantly very doable)
  20. Guys there is no way we'll get 60 Supra's for this. I'll eat my hat if we do!
