    Out of here!!

Damn it I can't believe I missed that........ It now makes sense- buy supra n/a!!- the lack of twin turbos means its got more room in the back, a bigger boot and some space also in the engine bay for luggage etc...... like a vw beetle......... whilst still kicking out 120bhp and being able to chase down every supercar on the planet.... Then I can post some fairy...... sorry....... sworn statements on the spirited driving section, acting surprised but swearing that the ferrari enzo driver was trying cos he gave me the classic 'thumbs up' when he eventually caught up with me!!!!!!!................. Now to cancel my order

    Out of here!!

That was my thinking- wanted something that we could all enjoy and was a bit special- Always loved saabs- they are just so different and as you said the best time to buy a covertible is when its 3 degrees outside and raining- Really looking forward to collecting the saab next weekend- its a completely different proposition to the Supe- more relaxed and refined, quieter, more economical- but yes a hell of a lot slower..... but I don't care Mike

    Out of here!!

A new addition to the family means I have recently sold my supe tt gz auto after 3.5 years-its been an excellent car- utterly reliable- Had it BPU'd this year and its performance became astonishing- but the time was right for it to go. Something 'safer' and more practical was needed and I came to the conclusion that 400 bhp and UK roads isn't really that compatible. Therefore I have thus just achieved my other ambition and just bought this- a Saab 93 Turbo convertible -seats 4 comfortably- is super luxurious and will allow me, the wife and the child to have some fun cruising this summer........ and its good having a manual gearbox again after all these years of an auto . This website has been brilliant over the last 4 years and I hope the saab sites are half as good- I'll still visit from time to time to see how things are and hope that the supe continues to be an enthusiast's car. see you soon Mike
  5. I have an RSR and yes it is loud on the motorway, but I turn the stereo up The exhaust looks silly with the baffle in

New baby forces sale- need bigger back seats!!!! must be sold £7995 or make me an offer PM me if interested.
  7. V funny The little one changes things and the supra just isn't a car that I would want to take me, the missus and him out in, as it is too fast(i think it is difficult to drive it slowly) and too noisy- attracts chav racers- thus need to replace it with something sporty, but not in the same performance league as the sup, practical and something that we can all enjoy as a family. Thus come on folks if you are after a well looked after cherished sup- drop me a message!!!
  8. The time has come- after over 3 years of ownership- the arrival of a new baby in Feb means that the Supe is just not getting the use it deserves- spending most of its time parked in my garage. I have tried but its not the most family orientated of cars so a change is needed. Specs are: Double Decat full BPU Whifbitz Stage 2- 1.25 bar K&N Panel Filter Walboro Fuel pump Irridium spark plugs Greddy Profec B II boost controller HKS boost guage, Ultra turbo timer RSR GT Exhaust 17 inch vtr spilt rim alloys Full strut front strut brace OEM skirts and spats TRD badging 100watt upgrade lighting Facelift clear indicators Nikkai TV/CD/DVD/RDS/MP3 entertainment system Sigma cat 1 alarm/immobilser private plate All the usual GZ toys electric everything, cruise etc Car regularly serviced in the UK with last service only on 09/08/0-mot till Feb 08, tax till Jan 08 Car located in South Croydon A fantastic car with performance I can only describe as violent. PM me if interested.
  9. Agree- I can't believe that they left- basically babies- alone. I take my young son with me to restaurants all the time- most places are quite child friendly- At first I thought the parents were your usual chavs who have no problem leaving a newborn in a house full staffy bull terriers- but was surprised to hear that these are intelligent people.

    Ultima

ultima gtr- serious bit of kit- nothing but nothing would be able to live with one of these on the road.- bet its a nice feeling knowing that you can kick anything you come across on the road. I would have one- they are not cheap on face value- but they are a bargain if you look at their performance

    What Battery

Yep Halfords calcium battery for me too- and it had the small terminals so it took no time to install.
  12. I use these guys for all my supra servicing- they seem to know their way around supras Woodcock service station Woodcock Hill Felbridge East Grinstead West Sussex RH19 2RE 01342 325544/326213 Mike
  13. I have been full BPU for less than a week and so far the performance is electrifying- It truely justifies the way the supra looks and gives you the confidence to destroy most cars out there. If something blows like the 'big single turbo' I already have in the car- then it gives me the perfect leverage with the wife to get new one which is off course a 'like for like' replacement (wink wink) with the 'one' that has blown. Mike
  14. I have the boost set at 1.25 bar on the controller. 1.7 bar sounds lethal- wouldn't that blow your engine/turbos up? I opted for whifbitz stage 2 performance pack at £630 excl vat- check out their website- this includes full decat uprated fuel pump colder spark plugs and a greddy profec boost controller I think the difference in performance is massive- It gives the supra the performance to take it into the 21st century.
  15. Just taken the plunge and gone BPU after 3 years of Supra ownership . Made the trip today to Whifbitz in Enfield from South Croydon to have the job done. The result- what a difference- the performance of the supe is now best described as savage- as the driver of a carrera 4s I met on the way home will verify- if he is honest!!! Thanks to Paul and his team for a job well done. For all your stockers out there............ you know what you have to do Mike
  16. Right now I have plastic jspec headlights but with 100watt blue xeon bulbs on dip, main beam and front fogs- compared with the standard set up it its a massive improvement- not in the league of HIDs off course, but on full beam it is impressive all I paid was the upgrade on the bulbs. Mike
  17. UK cds should work fine in a jap spec sup- they certainly do on mine which has the oem cd player still in it. It plays cds fine which includes those burned off a computer. DVD sat nav disks though is a different story
  18. When I had mine( sounds like everyone has had one)- they shoved the camera through my nose to examine the back of my throat- which took me by surprise- as I was expecting it through the mouth- which would have made me gag and spew like Steve O from Jackass- through the nose was no problem- did not hurt at all.
  19. What do you guys think- I have done searches but cannot find any other posts which answer this: when I change my rear bulbs from the made in japan 21/5w to ones from Halfords equivalents- everything goes hay wire- ie lamp failure light comes one every time I press the brake pedal and the best bit is the internal dashborard illination goes on and off to the tune of me pressing the brakes- This is all very entertaining but I need to replace one of my jap spec bulbs- What could it be- oh and my rear fogs (inner brakelight conversion) have packed in. Could it be the relays- is it time to go to an auto electrician? Thanks
  20. Over the last few months my lamp failure warning has been sporadically coming on- every time all the rear brake lights have been working fine. Today though- it has been coming on immediately- checked the brake lights and one was out- so I changed the bulb- still did not work- when the lights are turned on the bulb works- and in fog light mode it works- thus has my sensor gone and shall i order a new one from Mr T and if so does it cost half the price of the car even though its a little plastic box? thanks

    3000 gt ??

I looked at getting one of these before the sup- I liked the look of them- big and wide and lots of road presence- however a bit of research showed that they are fragile cars- I wanted an autobox which by all accounts on these is a big no no- plus their resale value has fallen massively over the last couple of years.
  22. I know that this topic has been covered before but can't seem to find an answer concerning my query which is: have a j spec auto with working 3rd high level brake light. This week all the leds in it have packed in. From previous threads I got the impression that when the leds went they went one at a time not all at once. My brake light failure light came on and alerted me to the problem. Now is there a fuse that specifically controls this light if so where is it and what is its label? Could it be a loose connection to the unit - if so how do I get that plastic cover off the tailgate without breaking it or my fingers Thanks
  23. typical eh. Easter weekend looking good weather wise. car was cleaned last weekend in and out. On Tuesday took her out of the garage. Gust of wind blew my wheelie bin onto the car- putting a small thumb size dent in the wing just above the wheel arch- arrgh. Now call me funny, but my supe has to be perfect- and even though the dent is small- the dent people can't remove it until after easter. I don't want to drive an imperfect car- because its the same as driving an imperfect lambo or ferrari- these sort of cars have to be mint- am I over reacting?
