  1. I've been reading this thread for wot seems like an age. You poor bar-steward! We all know the feelin' of thinking you've solved the problem only to find out u havent! Ask Leslie Ash!! I really wanted to say that i had a 325-Beemer that had this exact problem, it would also sumtimes hunt whilst trying to idle and then conk out when the revs dropped down. It was fine when driving, only cocking up when crawling in traffic. (Loadsa nocking it into neutral, then left-foot-brakin while holding the revs up wiv the right foot), I cured it by replacing the coils, odd i know, but it turned out 'no4' was fOked!! I know it's a Zimmer but it IS a straight-6 engine aint it! And you do seem to av tried everything else! See wot 'appens mate innit?? :)
  2. Fella's, find a road or carpark with a slight gradiant on it. Park 1/2 way up the slope. pop her in 1st or 2nd, gently ease off the handbrake to slightly roll backwards. Raise the revs, lift the clutch and Robert's yer mothers brother! Flame-on! Have fun holding her on the slope or gently crawling 4ward zig-zaggin'. (Do not get too carried away coz u WILL shag summat up, Ha)
  3. WHOA! They found Saddam's W.M.D. Surely "R2's" got more taste than to climb in the back of that Death-Star.... Just imagine passin' it on the road...."The Farce Is Strong in That One!". In the words of that pointy-eared green one- "you must unlearn all that you have learned!".... : music:
  4. Cam-belt is a definate at 60,000 so you got a while yet. check the clutch fluid too but only change it if it's mega sh@gged, coz sometimes if it's thick it seals up any leaks, and there aint no point aiming u're wee at the bucket when it's got a hole in it eh?
  5. Dude, i got a call from "Bill Allen" 2day, they're getting some from a dealer in Bristol. Hoo-f***g-ray. Anyone thought about buying shares in this stuff? it's as rare as hen's teeth.
  6. Gaz, wot a classic. U musta seen me coming a mile off!! I gotta go to u're site now tho, it'd be rude not to.
  7. Yeah good idea to get me own stuff and pay a mallet chucker to do it on me drive.. Roy I got a UK-spec, silver TT, with 18's, N-reg, manual. All standard at the mo'. Nearly a full service history.. HA! ...Dandan
  8. Hi! i'm the new boy. just a quickie to get going : i took my '95 UK-spec to "Bill Allen Toyota" in Gloucester for an oil service, and 3 days l8r they've still got it. They reckon they're shipping in some gearbox oil coz they've none in stock!! Is this a normal thing or do ya think, like me, they're pulling me plonker ?? Yeah yeah, lazy bar-steward should do his own servicing, but if a Toyota dealer aint got the slick-50 then who has, J.R Ewing????
