  1. Ok looks like next job.will soak nuts in wd40 for a few days then give it a go. Thanks guys.
  2. No-didnt seem to get louder, but as its stock would you notice a big difference?
  3. by wired open,do you mean physically(tied with wire?),not sure this will help as part of my problem seems to be that it IS open(even at idle). However will give it a try. Thanks. Any other ideas, before i start trying to accept the worst.
  4. quick version(changed a couple of vacuum hoses).
  5. Not checked it,as its bypassed by TTC mod-so should not have any effect.
  6. Thanks for the pic! That made me feel sooo much better! Would this cause the exhaust thingy mentioned earlier to stay pressurised though?
  7. The actuator arm of the egcv is definitely still attached-as for black ceramic bits in the first cat-i really cant bring myself to even admit this may be the problem:(
  8. no-both cats in-original exhaust.
  9. Do you mean the egcv before TTC? if so-im not sure-only got as far as the duff vsv and assumed that was the problem.
  10. Could really do with some help from the tech bods out there. Heres the story so far- J spec tt,auto 1994, always felt a little slow so fitted a boost gauge plumbed in as per http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/ to confirm any boost worries- first turbo boosts to 0.5/0.6bar,then at around 4000revs boost drops to 0.2/0.3 bar and stays like that till the next gear change(then same happens). Checked hoses, all fine, checked iacv vsv and theres no resistance(open circuit)-brilliant i thought problem solved. Switch to TTC so i can bypass said vsv(temporary measure only) Now boost starts at about 3000revs and by 4000 im getting 0.4 bar steady to the redline. This sounds like T2 not working-any ideas. I have checked the following- The Bov is working(blow test) The wastegate actuator is working. The iacv actuator is working (in TTC) The pressure tank is holding pressure fine infact after a run the EGCV remains open, then if i remove the pressure hose to it-it closes fine, then opens as expected at 4k ish. I assume this isnt normal-ie i thought EGCV should be closed at low revs? Any help gratefuly recieved!
  11. Has anyone got one of these? part number 90910-12126-A Thanks.

    internet problems

Are you doing other things(on the computer) at the same time as downloading? 250gb is the hd capacity, the ram is the important bit, though if its only a year old this should not be a problem. Check how many programs run in the background, and only allow the ones needed. Apart from that i will leave it to the more experienced members to help-one will be along in a minute.

    internet problems

Your not on Aol by any chance? Its not just internet speed that matters, sometimes slow or low memory computers can have far more effect, also the amount of rubbish constantly running in background can slow things drastically.
  16. What year is it and what spec?

  18. mmmm ive got a sIII swb landy, lucky if i get 18mpg still much more fun than a prius-cant believe it comes from the same company as our beloved Supras:)
  19. Very interested in this-how much?
  20. Judging by some drivers i see-i think they would fail even if they were stone cold sober.
  21. I actually like #10-she looks kinda cuddly. Ill get me coat:)
  22. I believe its exactly what it says-Manual,ie if you put it in 2 it will stay in 2,it just holds it in that specific gear,so you would use the gear lever as a manual.
