  1. Can anyone do JSpec turbo gaskets relatively cheaply? I think the part no. I need is 04175-46021
  2. Can anyone possibly give me the link for the swapping the turbo's out please? Had a word with a friend and he might be able to help.
  3. Excellent, thanks for the info. much appreciated. That has made me happy!
  4. Lol! I would if I knew one end of a spanner from the other! But don't really want to risk it! hehe!
  5. Is there a difference between the turbo's from a vvti and the turbo's from a standard JSpec? i.e. basically I want to know if they interchangeable?
  6. Thanks everyone, yes it is a bit smelly like burning oil. And yes it appears to only be when the car is on throttle. Not much smoke came out when I pulled up on the drive and let her idle, well no way near as much as when I was driving home, it looked like I had a Whacky Racers style smoke screen! :-) I have a spare set of turbo's, does anyone have any idea how much the labour to swap them out might be?
  7. Hi everyone, Have done a lot of searching tonight and am confused between stem seals and turbo seals. Took the supra out tonight to get some petrol. Got to a nice clear straight and hit WOT. 2nd turbo didn't seem to be coming online. Tried a few more times, nothing, then I noticed it huge clouds of blue smoke. Engine seems to be pulling OK though, am just not getting boost. Smoke billowed out all the way home. Is this likely to be the stem seals or the turbo seals? Any advice appreciated. Thanks.
  8. When I was looking a few months back I came across these people in Birmingham, http://www.lap-tab.co.uk/alloywheels.php, but they needed to see the wheels before they'd give me an idea of cost. Maybe worth a look though, don't think it's that far from you is it?
  9. Snap! I've got exactly the same problem, but only on the passenger side so far. Nic, what seals would I need to buy to cure this and how much cost are we talking?
  10. yup, she's lovely. The car ain't bad either
  11. Thanks for the reply Chris, I'll have a look tonight when I get home from work.
  12. Hoping some of the more car savvy knowledgable people here may be able to give me a bit of advice with a problem I'm having with my daily runaround. It's a Celica 2.0GT, ST182, 1990 I recently had the clutch and water pump replaced. The water pump obviously meant I needed a cambelt change as well. On getting her back from the garage, every now and again - well more often than not, I get 3 dashboard warning lights coming on, the brake pad/fluid sensor, the battery warning light and the oil pressure light. At the same time the Battery/Voltage indicator drops considerably. I've checked things I can think of, i.e. loose connections, earths e.t.c. and have recharged the battery. The oil level is fine and appears to be flowing. The brake pads are new and the fluid level is fine. So, really I'm stumped. Can anyone give me any tips or any ideas as to what might cause this? The car seems to be driving fine apart from that. Many Thanks Evan
  13. That's an offer I'd take up if I were you time2die. CW has probably got more glowing references on here than any other Supra expert on the forum.

It does say that it's suitable for : - "SUITABLE FOR SUPRA 3 LTR 1993 - ON (J2A80) 3000CC V6 TURBO & TWIN TURBO" But I guess that doesn't confirm whether it'll be ok for an import. Also I'd be a bit weary about who manufactured it, as it doesn't really tell you that it's a genuine Lexus part does it?
  15. I've a set of these, the grey/silver ones. Really would like someone to strip them back and give me a diamond cut finish on them. Anyone know if this is possible and where might do it?
  16. Quite close that, lime lane's only a stone's throw away from me.
  17. Blimey we could have a regular mini meet here. JimWire, I live in Oakwood too and even stranger vroom520, I used to live in Chellaston! haha!
  18. They look really good Scotster, nice work there! If you ever get round to making some to sell I'll have my name on the list no worries.
  19. Paul, I'd be interested in the Xbox games themselves for £20, without the console! Any good?
  20. I've an AI606 too, but I think the actual siren unit has failed as it makes no noise whatsoever now. Does anyone know if these have to be paired somehow with the controller unit or can I just plug in a replacement?
  21. You right, it is a bit of a bummer! So can anyone recommend any bodyshop in Derby or the surrounding area.
  22. Was out this afternoon changing the front speakers for some spangly 16cm ones. So moved the car in a place on the drive that I could get both car doors open. Just finishing off the first, the drivers side when a bit of rain started and I could hear it thundering in the distance. So thought right better finish up and move the car back in front of the garage door. Just about getting the car to where I wanted it when it started bucketing it down, lost vision completely and in the space of about a second I banged the car into the garage door handle. Really peed off. It's cracked the laquer across about an inch of my do-luck. Is this an easy repair? Anyone know someone in the Derby area that could fix it realatively cheaply but well of course? Am so annoyed at myself to be honest. if I'd got a gun I'd have shot the garage door by now......
