Aircon is off. I did clear a blocked heater matrix at the weekend, that is the only thing i have done lately too.

This week the Soop has decided to take matters into its own hands! The revs increase from idle (600ish rpm) up to about 1200 rpm on its own. This lasts for about 10 seconds, then it drops again. I hav read that it could be something to do with a leaking pipes connected to the brake master cylinder but it does it while sat in traffic without touching the brakes. Does anyone have any idea what could cause this?

As it says, i am after some black sunvisors for the supra.

I second that. I had a problem with my FCD wiring (bad conections) once and it did exactly the same.

Has anyone stripped rubber from dash to leave a smooth black plastic dash? Does it look any good? Will it need laquering?

didn't you say you only had the passenger door left?!

I am after a drivers side door with hinges in good nic. Only after shell so don't need the window, motor, mirror etc.

I have up for grabs a Blitz FCD. It is called a Blitz Boost jumper. I have had it on my car for about 3 years with no problems at all, works a treat. Only removed it due to ECU upgrade. Open to all offers

Followed your advise with the hose pipe this morning and now................. my soop is warm again Thanks very much for everyones help. Just got the dash lights to fix now.

No flickering at all when i have fiddled with the wires. I am pretty sure that the controls (unit with all bte buttons) are ok as i replaced it with another unit and checked all conections and contacts. It has not improved anything.

It is all the dash lights that dont work. When you select things on the air con controls, the LED does come on. It is the 'illumination' for nightime operation that does not work, on the whole of the dash. I have had the dash off and when i turn the temp up i can hear something engaging so prsume the controls are fine.

Have you got any tips on how to flush it without buggering the Matrix up? I have checked the pipes after a long run with my heaters on full and one pipe is really hot, where the other is cold. It appears blocked to me.

No coolant change recently, just found that the heaters dont blow hot air now the cooler weather is here.

Have just checked the pipes that go through the firewall in the engine bay to the heater matrix. One was really hot (passenger side one) and the other was "cold" (the drivers side one). Does this mean that i could do with flushing the matrix out?

I have checked the dimmer switch and it is plugged in but has no effect. My engine temps are fine and the blowers blow fine, it is just that they will only blow cold air. If it is the matrix i think i will have to put up with it being cold. The Soop is not making me wan tto drive her right now.

Is there any way i can check if heater matrix is buggered and why my dash lights dont work?

Just re checked ALL the fuses in the box under the bonnet and the box in the drivers foot well. That is all the fuses i know of and they are all fine. Looks like i am gonna have to shell out yet again on the soop.

I have now got a Blitz boost jumper unit (FCD) that is surplus to requirements. It has been on my Soop for about 3 years with no problems at all. Offers welcome and i will sell to highest offer tomorrow night.

My heaters have stopped throwing hot air out. All the blowers still work and had dash to bits to hear something engaging when change the temp witht the nob, but still no heat. Checked all the fuses and they are fine. I have just fitted new head unit anf thought i might of loosened a wire but checked them all today. Anyone got any ideas? I also have a problem with my dash lights. They do not come on at all. The LED's come on and dim when i switch the lights on but none of the bulbs do. I cant see revs or how fast in am going anymore. The clock comes on (and dims), but the ODO when the lights are switched on appears to switch off, you cant read it. Again, i have checked all the fuses and they are all fine. I will openly admit that these problems are most likely my own doing due to years of slpicing wires together for various add ons but want to sort out my previous mess now. Does anyone have any ideas or will i have to get a pro to check it all out? I will have to put up with all the laughing at my lazy wiring i suppose
