have you checked the cambelt its sounds like it might have split and is hitting the plug cover? probably complete bollox but doesnt sound good. but doesnt sound metallic either Rich

got my plug cover off at the mo. noticed cambelt is sitting towards the rear edge of the upper 2 cam gears; also there is a shiny polished line adjacent to the belt about 2mm wide. anyone got a shot of expected position from above? there is no noise and Im thinking its OK as long as iys on the gears?
