  1. If your sidewalls are too soft you should feel that when going round corners shouldn't you? A friend of mine had this problem on his Impreza when he fitted some Falken tires, it was plainly dangerous to drive! When he switched back to Pirelli's the car felt safe again. 2. Upside down. The shiny part that comes out of the strut should be on the car's side if you know what I mean. I have had no problems with the RMM rear wing which weighs 5kg compared to the 3kg of the stock rear wing. Flavio
  3. Check if they are fitted the right way. I once fitted them backwards and the lid kept dropping on my head as well. Flavio http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid14/p142c9363fa12dc3dab98011a9003dc88/fde38afb.jpg
  4. There are some doubts about the Redline oil for the Getrag tranny but the Esso Dexron oil I mentioned is approved by Toyota and is the only other oil except the V160 oil that is mentioned in my Toyota manual. BTW You need 1.8 liters for the 6-speed tranny. Flavio
  5. You can use Esso ATF Dexron D-21065 instead of V160 fluid. It's easier to get and a lot cheaper as well! How much you need should be in your owner's manual. Flavio
  6. Guys, You should visit Blankenberge while you're in Belgium. It's close to Oostende and between 29 May and 1 June there are some harbour festivities there which are always fun. If you guys are going there I'm coming over with my Supra for the day as well since we are organising a rally there for our customers. 18 Fairline luxury powerboats (http://www.fairline.com) are going to be in the marina. 7. Yes, my car is LHD. Paul Whiffin has a Powerhouse single turbo kit, I believe the Street kit. Flavio
  8. Keith Ta runs twin T66's. Here are some latest pics of his awesome Supra: http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4290358979 Look at the exhaust and header http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid59/pf6f70c392fff9d95fa70fda5a7b134f0/fc587c38.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid59/p72a42a5a83d253cc2e3fb0e5074c6ad1/fc587b50.jpg Flavio http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid14/p142c9363fa12dc3dab98011a9003dc88/fde38afb.jpg
  9. If I remember correctly you should set this switch to WG (Wastegate) if you're single turbo or set it to AC (Actuator) if you're still on the stock twins. Flavio http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid14/p142c9363fa12dc3dab98011a9003dc88/fde38afb.jpg
  10. I have 10x19ET51 rear wheels and 9x19ET50 front wheels and actually added spacers (5mm per side front, 15mm per side rear) to make the car look a little more aggressive. My car is lowered with Eibach springs and Koni shocks and the wheels do not rub. Flavio
  11. Those were probably Davin wheels, http://www.davinwheels.com. Very, very expensive! Flavio
  12. Mark, Have you ever tested whether your hybrids actually give more power at 2 bar compared to say 1.5 bar? Flavio
  13. You can use the absolute turbo pressure as a very rough indicator of how the power will grow when raising boost. 2 bar is 3 bar absolute 1.2 bar is 2.2 bar absolute So 2 bar would roughly give 36% more power (3/2.2) than 1.2 bar. If the car has 400hp at 1.2 bar it would have 544hp at 2 bar. But remember this is only a very rough calculation. Flavio
  14. Adam is right, it's not just the turbo kit you have to pay for. You need at least a big frount mounted intercooler, an upgraded clutch, piggyback electronics (VPC/GCC) or a different ECU, a large fuel system, NOS (if you will have a really big turbo), a boost controller, downpipe (not always included in the turbokit), bigger exhaust (go with the HKS Titanium, it can handle the biggest turbos), different cams, etc. Sound Performance is developing an entry level turbokit that will cost about $2500-$3000 with the smallest turbo but you can always get this kit with a big turbo. I don't know if they will fit a RHD car though. Also are you going to fit it yourself? If not labour will be a substantial amount of money especially if you go the different ECU way which you need to finetune. Flavio
  15. Thanks, that won't be a problem with your excellent program! Flavio http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid14/p142c9363fa12dc3dab98011a9003dc88/fde38afb.jpg
  16. My car has been standing still for two months because I have been waiting for my new SP67 turbo. When I finally drove it again this afternoon I noticed that my RLTC doesn't work anymore. I was already wondering why the car went sideways when I mashed the throttle in 3rd gear at only 1.4 bar :-) The battery was flat when I started it for the first time. I suspect the settings for the RLTC have been lost but do I have to recalibrate the RLTC or is it sufficient just to upload my usual settings again with my laptop? Flavio
  17. H&R have spacer sets complete with longer studs. 5mm spacers would be the ones you need. Flavio
  18. I have it and I absolutely love it. Fit and finish are very good and it sounds absolutely bad ass at all rpm's. Flavio
  19. I don't think you need a fuel computer with the stock twins at 1.3bar (1.4bar is already dangerous territory for the stock twins so don't do it). With a single turbo upgrade you are going to lose the stock MAF sensor anyway so you have to have a VPC or a replacement ECU with the appropriate pressure sensors. With the VPC you can control the fuel a bit although most people use a HKS GCC or APEX'i S-AFC with it. 20. The HKS Titanium exhaust only has a titanium muffler, the piping is 4" stainless steel. As far as I know only ARC (very expensive!) and Veilside make full titanium exhausts. Flavio http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid14/p142c9363fa12dc3dab98011a9003dc88/fde38afb.jpg
  21. I bought mine from MVP Motorsports for $1150. Flavio
  22. Randy, I say get the HKS Titanium, it's got the biggest diameter pipe of all Supra exhausts and it hangs the highest and it has the straightest piping. It is very loud and deep sounding, I love it! Before I had the HKS Ti I treid the Blitz NurSpec, the HKS Hiper Carbon and the TRD exhaust. The HKS Ti has got them all beat. Coilovers

Doug, I'd get the Tein HA coilovers with the Tein EDFC system so you can control the dampers from inside the car, way cool! I have a text file with the spring rates for various lowering springs and coilovers which I can email you if you want. Flavio http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid14/p142c9363fa12dc3dab98011a9003dc88/fde38afb.jpg
  24. I ran my 19" PZero's (275/30 and 245/35) at 2.8 bar (41psi) initially but found that too hard. I now run 2.5 bar (36psi). An added benefit is slightly more grip when launching hard. Make sure you check the tire thread depth regularly, especially on the inside. Supras literally eat tires! Flavio
  25. Make sure you get a boost gauge as well. Preferably an analog one because it's easier to see or if you plan to use the boost controller as a boost gauge make sure it has a peak mode. If you're a gadget freak go for the Blitz iD Series otherwise get a simple HKS EVC boost controller. Flavio
