I have an intermittent ticking coming from the solonoid under the bonnet its a really fast tick it also happens when the igniition is on but engine not started, is this normal or is it broke? its the sbcid III if that makes a difference Cheers Chris

hmm never thought of that could be the reason for it going a bit funny the other times, but no not since the last time he came to fix it nothing has changed just dont want to have to have him come down again, would just like it to work everytime

Anyone have an idea about my alarm the intellistart starts the car everytime no problems but when its cold it runs for about 10 seconds then cuts out, if its warm no problems it keeps running. i would call the engineer out again but im sick of seeing him, anyone know if theres a way i can sort this? yeah i took the battery off then put the battery back on, but i dont really understand your question about immobilisor, itll just be in the same state as befroe you took the battery off wouldnt it?

big red triangle stayed on when i tried doing that so had to short it out

yeah short the plug that normally plugs in the spoiler motor and the same on the switch behind the dash theres instructions on mkiv.com i think cant remember where i got them from now and then just bolt the spoiler up if you are wanting to leave it permantly down all good
