"We know that this car will attract a huge amount of interest from the many enthusiasts around the world and we confidently predict it will sell for between £50,000 and £65,000." Sold for £33,250

Lovely, thanks Mike!

Hi all, Hopefully a fairly simple one, I'm taking the Supra in to a local garage just to get the brakes bled after a track day a month or so ago, just wanted to check how much fluid is needed to bleed the brakes? I've got a bit of spare fluid just not sure if I have enough for them J Spec NA brakes, braided goodridge hoses and running on RBF 600 Dot 4 fluid Also anything Supra specific I need to mention to them that might catch them out? Cheers!

Thanks Herb! Yeah that shot really does show off the sound so well, it's borderline too loud for the mic haha

I just wanted a bit of transparancy really, there's already a lack of information out there about ITB conversions, which is the main reason I started this thread and even the channel, but there's even less info on how much it'll actually cost. I thought this would all serve to put people off the idea but if anything most of the comments on the channel are people looking to try it themselves!

Merry Christmas all!! I've finally done a wrap up on how much the ITB build cost TL;DR: it's a lot...
-
Love that!!

Finally managed to get the car to Oulton Park yesterday, and good lord was it worth the wait. Just listen to it Also managed to rip one of the filters already...
-
Also, I’ve managed to put on the socks, and they actually don’t seem to hamper performance/sound which is great news! Lets see if these ones get eaten by the bodies…
-
When you say Y branch do you mean the inlet? If so I obviously don’t have any of that anymore so there’s no gains to be had there I guess an ultimate goal would be 100hp per litre NA, so to get to that 300hp mark, but that might be a little too difficult, you never know though, maybe someday!

Thanks mate!! Ha I've already convinced myself that I was spending the appreciation on the car to do the ITBs. Yeah super happy! Even just doing something not many people have done is really satisfying. I'll drive it for a while as is and see if I'm craving more power, then see how I feel. I'd be tempted to go full send on NA and do bottom end stuff as well as port and polish etc, there's definitely more gains there! I think the space is just too tight around the bulkhead end unfortunately, it's tight enough just getting a sock on there
-
I did think about this, will have a chat with my exhuast guy and see what can be done, he needs to properly sort out the manifold/exhaust join anyway so whilst he's at it...
-
Haha not anytime soon if my bank account has anything to say!
-
I think it would pass to be honest, but I'm getting a baffle just in case
-
Yeah I was hoping after rolling the arches I would have got away with it but unfortunately not, it happens so rarely to be honest that I haven't worried about it, I'm at Oulton Park next week though so will see how it gets on when I'm pushing Thanks mate, appreciate that!!
-
Ah thanks Herb! It is a little too raspy if I'm being picky but it's the intake noise that's the most important! Yeah it's amazing hearing it from so far away, will have to get some more footage up there when it's less windy
-
So by way of a small update, I found that the socks do indeed fit so have ordered another 2 and will see how it runs after fitting. Also I've done another video including some tunnel runs and some more dynamic driving up along the famed A537 in Macclesfield...in the pouring rain. Enjoy!
-
Sorry mate just realised I never got back to you! I've ordered one of the socks I linked above to see if that will even fit, if so I'll get another 2 and see how restrictive they are then consider my options if I'm not happy. I got my brake pads actually from Chris so maybe I'll give him a shout if I'm struggling!

Thanks for all this info, super helpful!! There isn't a great deal of room to be honest, not sure on the exact measurements but I don't think there'll be space for a big airbox or anything. I'd be keen to try a metal gauze to be honest, I reckon that's the least restrictive option, and I don't plan on driving through any dust clouds, maybe something similar to this: https://www.demon-tweeks.com/revotec-air-inlet-gauze-243494/?sku=GLOAIG63BLK&istCompanyId=a2904180-3a7d-4e56-b876-cf81c9512180&istFeedId=6fbc4b04-fd28-4ce1-8513-835c8f118690&istItemId=wptwlxmra&istBid=t&gclid=Cj0KCQjwiNSLBhCPARIsAKNS4_dXtERHf5XWDfQg0qydwQm9-yLWblG8VfH4e6VntrNsJt2dVZOfOeEaAhwXEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds It's probably just worth me just emailing/calling these companies and getting their opinions

Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it to that mapping session, but I don't believe fixing the issue made any difference to the BHP as it was only around 30mph anyway and only seemed to be prevalent on the road rather than the dyno
-
Thanks for checking out the vid and the links @Frank Bullitt and @Annabella! Looks like these are breather filters rather than air filters, only 25mm fitment! Think these are for Jenvey applications so may be a little too specific fitment wise Reckon I could definitely find something that would work on here, or worst case scenario get something made up! I'll get the tape measure out I might even try these out to be honest (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-x-Performance-Twin-Layer-Foam-Carb-Sock-Air-Filter-Weber-DCOE-Dellorto-DHLA-/272344938650?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0&fbclid=IwAR2HsgtCvFpbaSge5dEvBp0PGvbYqSxYdoJn9V9stkF1PVaIAVrsW5hBiac) worth a go for the price. I would probably widen the fitment hole a tad so they don't sit quite as tightly onto the trumpets as last time

UPDATE ALERT: It's done!! Massive thanks to @HarleyFDMD for hooking me up with the manifold, means I can keep the glorious noise levels as they were. Also once again huge thanks to @Mike2JZ for solving the hesitation issue, life savers!

Original owner of mine must have been annoyed then
