  1. Thanks for the answer chris, i now that you Work a lot in supras, so should someone now the typical numbers i haved to be you
  2. so what you saying is, i should get the same oil pressure readings whether it is in the sandwitch plate or the lexus union bolt, is that correct? yes i have in mind that i run 10w/30, as i am planing off doing a oil change, i will put 10w/40 in it NeXT time..
  3. yes i now that the Cold readings not are so much irrelevant.. i hope that the reading on the lexus bolt, not are to low.. i have drived with this engine 1 year (3000km) with no problem yet. so i cross my fingers that everything is as it should be
  4. ok, i will tried to move it from the sandwitch plate to the lexus union bolt.. you guyes WHO have it in the union bolt, please feel free to post your readings.. so i have something to compare with
  5. ok. but do you have lower or higere oil pressure at the sandwitch plate???
  6. ok, i hope that there would be others inhere , there can put some light on this question, as this is for mkiv owners so there should be a good chance that there are some guyes that can come with a answer, about my pressure readings is safe or not I doubt that i am the only one with a oil pressure gauge in the car.. but thanks for you answer roger ne, it help me a Little further..
  7. yes i does have a oil pressure relief valve.. can it be posible that the valve is stuck half open or full open.. can that be the reson off low oil pressure?
  8. many have the sensor there, to messure the pressure or oil temp.. but Again is my numbers safe or unsafe? i now that i am within the Toyota spec. but i am just a Little worried when so many have higere numbers then i have
  9. in sandwitch plate between oil filter and engine..
  10. on Cold startup mine is at 70-75 psi, and that is on bone Cold engine.. when i have warmed up, and the engine is on idle and with a oil temp at 90c it can go Down to 13 - 15 psi.. at full trottle/wot i never see more than 65 psi.. i dont have any front main seal problem.. Should i be worry about my numbers or is my numbers safe???
  11. ok thanks for the explanation
  12. Roger ne very usefull answer, and a good description... but on question, tickover what do you mean with that??
  13. 106 views but only 2 replys, are there really so few that are running 2jzgte engines I would appreciate that you would find that out for me tricky ricky
  14. mine reads in km, and that is 120.000km for now
  15. First off all i haved tried the search button, but with no luck.. I have studied it for a long time and i have been looking in the forum, and there are 80% of all answers that they have 2 bar (28 - 32 psi) oil pressure on idle, where i have about 0,8 - 0,9 (13-15 psi) bar on idle .. what is normal oil pressure on the 2jzgte engine, i run 10w30 castrol oil on mine, and i see Cold startup idle : 70 psi cold hot : 8 - 10 psi (idle speed) wot : 60 psi (6500 rpm) what do you others see???
  16. i have exactly the same symptoms when i fittet my hks fcd on my j.spec engine.. so you ae not the only one.. but i have not jet found the reson why

  19. ok. nice to now mate, i dident new it would be a problem as i only just want to raise the boost to maxuim 1.2 bar.. i have the 1st decat lying at home to the car.. so if it is a big problem i will Mount that same time as am gonna Mount the new boostcontroller
  20. the boost controller was the first generation off hks evc. so it was old.. i am gonna buy a new on as i want to remove the stock fuel cut, and i want a new opdatet version with the feature all the new generations boost controllers have
  21. thanks. i had always had a elektronic boost controller. but it was defekt as i lost boost under load. i had 0.5 bar but under transsion to the 2nd turbo it got Down to 0.3 bar and then raised to 0.7 bar when the boostcontroller was off, when on the same under transsion to the 2nd , and then raised to what i set it at..
  22. yes i have an attermarket boost gauge.. my supra does not have a stock boost gauge
  23. ok. if i hit it. i got 0.6 bar, and when i am about 3500 rpm , the boost drop til 0.5bar , and when the second turbo come online about 3800 to 4000 rpm it hit 0.7 bar , and sometimes it can reach 0.8 bar close to redline.. so it seems mine os ok then or???
