  1. Good advice there guys, thanks.....I'll get a quote from Ash and then try the garage next door to us...... What should I expect to be paying in 2013?
  2. Hi Guys The smoke coming out our 94 TT Import on startup is getting worse. Whether this is down to the warmer weather making the oil thinner even when stood still, I'm not sure however we do need to get the valve stem seals replaced ASAP. We're in Melton Mowbray, 15 miles either way between Nottingham and Leicester. Does anyone know of anyone local that's reputable to complete this task? I've read the awesome write up but to be honest, I simply don't have the time and would rather earn my bread and butter and let someone else earn theirs. Cheers in advance for any help. Mark
  3. Yeah you thread hijacker....lol
  4. Hi Guys I'm very new to the Supra scene however was wondering if the front end of a stock TT should feel skippy i.e. not very planted when going around bends. Don't get me wrong, it grips, but skips. I've only owned the car a short time and just wondered wherher this is simply a 20yr old suspension setup and this is what I should expect but there are things I can do to improve things, or that there maybe something not quite right? Any tips?
  5. Ok here's some pics guys.....she's dirty and the trade-off from having lots of trees in the street, is lots of bird poo! Also my Note II makes her look as though she's been eating too many choccies! lol Almost a fish-eye effect....I had to resize the horizontal dimensions...
  6. Awesome write up; I attempted something similar on my 04 WRX and time seemed to be my enemy. A wife, own business and 2 kids meant that spending the whole weekend taking the engine to bits was met with abuse! I was removing the engine with a view to rebuilding it (long story!). Anyway, (yes I will get some pics of my new car up ) this needs doing on my 94 Jap TT, is there anyone near Melton Mowbray (Notts/Leics) that's reputable for completing this work? It does seems straight forward, and I know I could do it, but with the responsibilities I have (business/kids/wife), I just simply wouldn't be able to allocate the time. I don't mind driving somewhere to drop the car off, but would just like some recommendations from you guys. Have to say on a separate note, out of all the car forums I have been a part of, this is by far the most rewarding although there are too many vultures around and parts go far too quickly :d:d Sod it, I'll get some pics taken and get them posted in the newbies section; it is dirty though....
  7. Thanks for the warm welcome guys, will sort some pics for you next weekend once its all washed B-) I have a felling you're right Dave, its loose but is still connected so a loose thread sounds logical. I'll have a look tomorrow. Havent had chance to browse this forum yet but I'd like some technicsl info on all these buttons on the gearbox etc lol....and also how the twin turbo system works etc. Cheers Mark.
  8. Hi Guys Just today picked up a 94 Import Black Auto TT with 66K on the clock and the drive back was fantastic; great car and great power delivery. Quick question, it has a KOYO ally rad that is leaking from the small pipe on the main filler neck; the metal pipe is loose....do the Koyo rads come with a lifetime warranty? Cheers Mark.
  9. Are you limited on piccy size when you subscribe too? lol I have to keep shrinking them from 2.1MB....
  10. Not sure you can really see it from here; but it did look pants.... - - - Updated - - - Shite, wheres it gone lol? Hang on...
  11. lol well that Supra dash looks great, is that a standard steering wheel? Let me find the pic of my dash on the 94....lol...and yeah, the Scooby dash is nothing to shout about!
  12. Sound advice guys, thank you..... Already seen a Black UK SUpra for sale on here that was purchased and then broken for the turbo kit; such a shame!
  13. oh and yes it needed lowering, but we have lots of speedbumps where we are!
  14. Hello all Like finally deciding where to go for your holiday, seeing that woman that you know is meant for you and that house that would suit you perfectly, it's time to go back to Supra ownership. Me, 35yrs old, cars, all sports from XR2, XR3, RS Turbo's, Rover 220 Coupe Turbos etc etc all the way through to 300ZX Z32 TT (450bhp), Supra N/A, MR2 Turbo (bloody crazy cars when modded) and now running my own business, house, and a family to feed, priorities changed, so I'm now in possession of a weekend car that is a 2004 Black WRX Impreza with its 3rd engine since I've owned it! Long story, but the changes I've made to have improved reliability. I've always admired the Supra. Out of all the 90's Jap cars, only it and the RX7 survived the ageing process IMO; the Subaru is about the sound and the 0-60, it not nice just tootling around, and it gives us 16-18mpg at the best of times. So, here's my thinking, why not get a car that we can actually cruise in (Supra/Zed), has the potential for decent power (Supra/Zed), has a bullet-proof engine (within reason(Supra/Zed), but has also survived the aging process and still look damn sexy (Supra). We like the Z33 but it's a 2 seater, no good for 2.4 children, and we cannot afford an R35 yet so we think the Supra will bridge the gap beautifully. The only thing that I would say having been a Supra owner, is that the dashboard is a little dated, or was on our 1994 N/A model. Are the newer models any different? Whats the latest Supra TT model that we are likely to find in the UK? A debate I'm having with myself, is whether I could put up with an automatic car. After 2 years of ownership of a Auto TT Zed, I converted it myself to manual. It was a ballache, but well worth the effort. From reading some of the posts on here, the auto to manual conversion seems a little more involving! Anyway, hello, and nice to meet you all..... And I've attached a piccy of my old Supra....just in case someone recognises it!
