but is hes supra an na or tt ?

Hi all , i have a question , basically my aircon works but i noticed that the supra doesnt have an air con fan ? thus aircon is next to useless unless the car is moving ,? I no i can buy slimline fans, and fit them to help . i havent looked to see if it would actually fit ,and i would need to wire it in a certain way via switch , But am i right in thinking this is factory standard no air con fan ??,,to help condense the air con rad faster ? any help appreciated cheers paul .

yes its worth a look even the coil packs same syptoms can occur , look for any white powdery substance and or bits missing from the spark plug connector end of the coil pack like small spring , etc hth

right have you got an na or tt , if its a na and has main lead coming from dizzy cap to small coil fixed to wing its that coil , ,, 36 pounds ish from eurocarparts , , my friend came to me a while back with an na supra , , my wifes got one now also but long story short , symptoms , from cold car would start on the button everytime , but after a short distance driving could tell the car wasnt burning all the fuel , even smellt like unburnt fuel in the exhaust , , when he got to any destiation even 10 mins drive away , after returning to the car ,it took ages to start , , the longer he drove it,, the longer he would have to wait untill it would fire up again , It was the coil , all along ,as it would heat up and spark would weaken the hotter it got , as soon as you turn it off it wouldnt fire properly again untill it cooled , i looked at the coil to see white powder residue , in the plug connector lead to dizzy cap and the coil itself , classic sign of arching , electrical term for the current not getting to where it needs to , changed the coil and car now runs perfect and all issues gone , no fault codes were ever logged either , hth paul

Is there an oil light on the dash does it go out on tickover??? i know there not fullproof , but even so ,could be gauge fault , , with engine running on idle if you take oil cap of can you see oil in the cylinder head splashing or getting up to the top ? . if not id check to see oil pick up pipe isnt bent or stuck to oil sump , ,as well as other helpfull hints allready mentioned .

Also with mine i m waiting to put new rear oils seal where driveshaft goes into diff as its leaking oil . i dont want to change it if the the prop vibration has caused it to fail

so have you changed prop did it cure it ,, im having exact same problem ,, exact same speed also ,,

as above guys i bought this car yesterday and i noticed the smaller instrument cluster to right side of dash isnt lighting up ,, shouldnt there be some lights in there ? im refering to the information cluster top right of speedo . small slim panel oblong shape left side one lights up cat overheat light etc and goes out but nothing lighting up on right side its an na auto aerotop 1993 , cheers paul

Hello to you all im paul,, Im posting on behalf of me and misses Tina we just bought our first supra ,, , Im not new to jap cars got my own early evo 1, had some magazine features of my evo 1 and my daughters e 3 and i run it at santapod with my daughters evo 3 , , back on topic i drove the new supra home last night , no faults at all , its an na aerotop auto very nice car indeed , i owned a 300zx twinturbo before for 2 years , absolute headache , unfortunately ripped of by a so called mechanic lost heart in the car and sold it , but had many friends that went from 300zx to supra , some off them maybe on here , think one of them was called jdz, lived Southampton way , heres some pics looking forward too getting to some meets ,got a few niggles to sort on car nothing major so will be trawling the tech threads a bit , heres a pic
