  1. i know me n my gf were like holy f*ck what was that! she went for the debris il upload pictures soon worth a giggle, well either way its gunna be fixed either a new engine to be put in or if its fixable and the tensioner didnt take some of the block, il fix it up with everything new, because cylinder one is leaking oil so either rings or stem seals worth a supra strip down eh
  2. ahh okay, so the tensioner does undo, it seems like its sheerd off completely! and its the rear of the crank pulley, the crankpulley its self is still on the vehicle must have been the pulley hitting on the way past! lots of bangs and debris!
  3. The supra was due to go in for a strip down this week, but due to family issues i missed that and its due to go in next week, so stupidly i took the car out to go for a meal, on the way home i left the petrol station gave a bit of beans changed gear, and it was like my exhaust fell off looked behind debris everywhere!!, i pulled over asap, opened bonnet the fan belt tensioner completely sheerd off the engine!, back of the crank pulley gone, where the timing marks are, dinted all the water pump pulley, ruined the belt so yeh eventfull evening, only outcome i see is the engine was being stripped down next week anyways, but this tensioner looks like its not ment to be removed at all?, and if thats the case a new engine, which would cost roughly the same maybe less than replacing all the parts for new... anyone sheer any light on this situation thanks guys!
  4. so you rekon from day one that cylinders been low compression iirc... all read 140s
  5. Right what about just using a TT headgasket? alone with na pistons, not looking for huge power, previously the car was at 335bhp at 7psi, the boost was upped to 10psi and pot one was filled with oil so we are gunna strip the car to look if the rings are worn and letting oil past,
  6. greddy e manage blue, probably the most basic ecu
  7. This droop is it happening because its heavy? or could you not make the other side drop down to match
  8. Basically as the title suggests are the TT pistons just a straight drop in, will they go onto an NA connecting rod or will i need the full TT piston, connecting rod big end etc etc, also using a TT headgasket on an Na, best to use oem or get a performance one?. Only thing in my head might be thinking stupid here but, changing all them on a high compression na-t thats been mapped, these things would lower compression would it need to be remapped?
  9. So Today......Started off first of all fixing this downpipe issue that was loose, no change!, got a smoke tester out to check for boost leaks in the system, no leaks!, Not going good so far, then i checked timing all lined up perfectly, next up the plugs! i thought id start at plug 6 and work towards myself plug 6 was a little white, 5 had small amount of oil, 4,3 and 2 were perfect, plug 1 was soaked in oil and i mean soaked! pot was pretty much filled with oil, so then we replaced plugs with new ones and closed the gap to 0.028 iirc, at a chance the oil was from it being so lean due to the plug gap, ran the car very smoky on idle. Took it for a quick run to see if it drove better, it idled slightly better went for a run 1st gear boost fine 2nd gear fine, 3rd gear would run lean if i throttled upto boost under 3k (obviously i let off) then top end of revs was perfects 11's on the afr same for 4th an 5th so the oil must be coming from the rings so a bit strip down on its way!
  10. but thing is i think is odd. the car has been running fine no issues boost was upped to .6ish from .5 no difference obviously just a move in afr but still roch enough was being boosted about fine then a day later driving fine 5th gear overtake on motorway and its lean also been told its leaning off in 2nd gear now under boost and feels like its missing to me
  11. well could the fuel pump just give up and start lacking in power as in less pressue
  12. Also just thought, the downpipe from the turbo has came loose once before but noticed straight away, IF the downpipe was loose would it cause this issue since the wideband would be getting a false reading of normal air ?
  13. the car boosts in 10 11 12s in 1st n 2nd gear and higher gears its leaning big time normal driving its fine 14.2 - 15.1 stock fuel pump stock injectors running .6-7 bar was running fine then on motorway all of a sudden was stuttering under boost...driving back under 3k revs perfect afr i was thinking possibly a boost pipe loose or leaking?
  14. well what happend is theres an na-t local and ive been asked if i know what this problem could be but i have no idea...basically the car was running fine at .5 bar he manually upped the boost to .6-7 and it was running fine just a little bit leaner still in the 12s on afr. Then a couple of weeks after the car only boosts fully in 1st n 2nd gear 3rd 4th 5th run in the 16 plus area on boost anyone have any ideas hes using stock everything on e manage blue
