  1. lol....I just dont get most of these films are shot in Wells..I saw the interview with Simon Pegg on Top Gear and they showed the clip of some kind of 'hold up' at the Wells branch of Somerfield and instantly thought 'if thats the best clip to show it dosn't look great' Wow a window was smashed in it (must of cost a fortune in sugarglass lol) I guess im jealous lol...but getting a whole crew and everything to a small town in the middle of nowhere adding huge amounts to the budget just dosn't make sence when there are plenty of places not too far from London (I dont get why the film industry comes to Edgar)..I have to see the film first to comment...i aint no Visconti but if i had a budget to make a film...mmm...!!!!!! Hes just one lucky muvver fooker! comes from a rich family...(oh god i am jealous lol) (why cant i become rich n slightly famous its just not fair:dummy: )
  2. Its beautiful isn't it? Great backdrop for a Supra too, where did you go? what did you do? Si
  3. Sounds like one of those films you have to watch a few times to get the humour... I need to watch it coz it will be embarresing if i dont lol....'eh ...it was eh....yeah... good Edgar' lol
  4. I havent seen it but I know the Director v well Edgar Wright, I remember going to an illigal rave near his home town of Wells when he was just 19 with him after he filmed his first student film..'Fist Full Of Fingers' I had a Renault 25 then and he slept in the back of my car and then had probs waking him up when i dropped him off at his house lol. A mate went to see it and said it wasn't great. I still have to see it 'Shaun of The Dead' was good though and was the film that did him justice....i'm sure his next one will be good though..Even the best Directors get it wrong once in a while i guess! I used to live in Wells Somerset where it was filmed so would be great to see it at some point!
  5. Just seen this, hope you downloaded em ok Dave....it dont look any older than when i had it (you look after it so well, looks beautiful), i keep meaning to scan some pics of when i owned it, took some nice ones of it in Spain and locally in its infancy. I think Mike (J-Spec Germany) has got some pics and vids coming soon. Im well impressed with all the pics so far, maybe we should have a Dragonball calender 2008 made with all our pics, that would be wicked... Si

Roller Coasters (especially ones that go upside down) Drag Queens (lol) Getting older. The long term effects of Smoking. Large Portions in American restaurants. Graham Norton (I'd describe him as a What rather than a Who?) Old re-runs of Hammer House of Horror. My Tax bill Jake (lol) My phone ringing (when i have forgotten to turn it off during filming an important interview) My birthday this year!!!!!!!! Finding a grey hair on my head (only found one or two but could be more on the way lol) Sorry quite a list

  16. I agree Wez great link...thing i do is just experiment trial and error...but that forum is a really good source of information i have been looking through it, it helps to get advice from some of the pros, tips, short cuts, use of filters..and of course taking shots of cars is an art in itself different from photographing someones wedding or someone coming out of the Ivy...so could put a thread on there saying 'Photographing cars advice needed' that sort of thing...great link Wez. Cheers for finding that..useful for all of us! Si
  17. Hiya Rob. Might go to JAE, not been before, userly goto the smaller meets, almost went a few times but never made it lol! Yeah thanks for waking me up for the meal, I forgot to mention that lol..i would of missed it, didn't sleep the night before..due to the excitement:d Be great to hook up there! Si
  18. Ooops soz...someone told me you had a Canon lol. I still think there is qaulity issues with CMOS same in video cameras. i would go for a D70 next time or infact a Sony A100! Other than that very good knowledgable advice from someone who def knows their stuff...and you certainly do! I been trying to get a bleeding Fisheye last week, for Dragonball so expensive but i then tried a hire place and they are different to TV Facilities houses in that they require a £600 deposit (which they actually cash) so i thought for the sake of a couple of shots it aint worth it. Any advice on best places to buy photography gear and lenses Tom? Cheers Si
  19. Soz I didn't see this thread. Just want to say thanks everyone, Had a really nice relaxing time! and was able to catch up with everyone (in Mr T's Car) Andy (Mr T) was so good to let me ride shotgun, I offered to buy him a tank of fuel several times and he purposely seemed to avoid petrol stations! and wouldn't let me! Sheena gave a lift some of the way and kindly put me up (sorry i mean put up with me ha ha) the night before! Rob and Craig (Dr Doom) were great housemates hardly saw them lol...nice Geezers thanks guys! Mr Evans thanks for making me come along, glad i did you were all such good fun and i really enjoyed myself! thanks Paul and Donna so much! Nice to see the ones i miss (thats everyone) and meet some new people....wicked Supras! I have to say felt bit weepy when i drove home from Sheenas knowing that not gonna see most of you till next time kept thinking that, there we were near the Somme in such a nice trench he he....and thinking of the words to the poem 'Altogether Now' apparently written by a solider during the Battle of The Somme in the First World war which became a hit for the 90's band The Farm...used to be one of my favourites lol...!!!! French people seemed even more keen to see us than last year even, waves, smiles, people taking pictures etc 'Altogether now' and no doubt next year as well, it aint long ..spread the Love ! lol Si x
