Hi, I havent had my supra long but have just recently found there is a loud knocking from the rear. I suspect the rear differential as it is coming from the rear left and is quite loud. It is not the exhaust banging. I so not know what else it could be so does anyone have any ideas. Also if it was to go while I was driving how hard would it be to control? Thanks

Took the dash off today...again after the speedo went. Wires were rediculous, so I have given up. Speedo started working again lol odd car these supras lol

Another update: speedo has stopped working yet the rev couter and rest of the clock does, still no dash lights and no indicators, all the fuses are fine! Goin to take it to an auto electrician as honestly the wiring is not simple.....

Gutted the indicators have gone! I have ordered a dimmer for the backlight but am not convinced that this will cure the indicator problem. The wiring Looks very shoddy and I believe this is the cause.

Update: after taking the car out tonight Iv also noted the indicators don't work now and therefore the hazards.... So some wires must of messed up when I had the speedo off.... Starting to get annoyed!

Pcb? I did try connecting points from wires which seemed they been shorted or bypassed with no effect.

I'll come if my car isn't in the garage getting a few things taken care of...

Hi guys, thanks for he replies. As I said in the first comment it's not the fuses. I did double check them too. Iv found a mound of wires behind the dash where a mph convertor box as been wired in and looks like a poor job has been done. This seems beyond my capability..... So I'll have to take it to a garage and use my iPhone torch at night lol

Hi I have just collected my supra N/A today and loving it! Iv got a little niggle that's bothering me though! The back lights do bot work on the dash for the speedo. The lights work for the heater buttons but go dim when the headlights are switched on, at this point the odometer goes blank until switched off. The whole time there is no lighting behind the speedo/clocks. The fuses aren't to blame and I have No idea other than the dimmer as a possibilty? Oh also I can't change the time on the clock. It's either broken or I'm retarded. Either is a possibility lo Thanks in advance I'd appreciate any help!

The car is a 1995 NA manual 5 speed. It's standard minus an exhaust, wheels and alarm I think and i think it's brilliant as it is lol! I tried the search function and couldn't actually find many threads On insurance maybe I'm just rubbish at using the search! I'll defo get some pics up once I get on a computer as I'm on my phone. My previous car was an astra coupe turbo and that was 850 quid insurance so for a 3.0 supra I think Iv done really well lol thanks everyone again for the warm welcome. I'm looking forward to getting to know the club :-)

Oh also MASSIVE thanks to SKY insurance who got me insured for A grand and I'm only 22. I am now really looking forward to years of ownership as this is my dream car, except of course the twin turbo ;-)
