  1. Well that worked perfectly!! Thanks for the help on that one. Keep the plug on the ballast the correct way round but turn around the plug from your original bulb connectors. Yes that kit is good but you don't need it for Supra's. I ended up with this one instead... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330789047472?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT These are £26.95 with next day free postage whereas the others were £48.73
  2. Cheers guys will try this and see how I get on.
  3. I've recently decided to get a HID kit for my 1993 import supra NA and the kit I bought off ebay did not work on my car. I have the plastic J spec facelight headlights. This was the kit I had: CANBUS PRO 35W HID XENON CONVERSION KIT HB3 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260951998477 The kit worked fine when tested on the battery but when plugged in correctly nothing, even with the engine running. My only thought was that maybe the kit wasn't getting enough power through the standard bulb fittings. Any ideas on why this is? Or maybe a suggestion of a kit that people know to work correctly? I'm after a decent set of 4300K. Thanks Chris
  4. Fixed the problem!! After taking the dash out again and checking all the connectors were fine, I took the lower glove box out to get access to the blower fan unit. It turns out that the fan can get stuck sometimes and if you simply give it a good tap when the ignition is on the fan will come back to life. No need to spend loads on new blower units, control units and switches etc.
  5. I have the same problem after fitting a new headunit only all my connectors are plugged in correctly and still no blowers. Gonna have to do a proper check again but seems like everytime I take that dash out something else breaks.
  6. Well my first day working didn't amount to much as the weather this weekend hasn't started out too great. Need to get the garage cleaned out so I can make some progress.
  7. I was told you wanted the do-luck dials, to be honest I love them but if I do get rid of them you'll be the first person to know about them for sure.
  8. Yeah he made a great job of the car and its a good starting point. I'm not too sure yet on which way to go with the turbo conversion. It would be nice to see what other people have done so i think i'll do a bit of research.
  9. Okay so this is my second supra after a 3 year break I thought it had been too long since I'd last had one. Went down to West Sussex yesterday to pick this NA Manual from Supra Gaz. Kinda strange this time as my last one started stock and this is already a nicely done car, I have big plans though. It already has the W58 gearbox swap and over winter I will be doing a turbo conversion. Hers the specs of the car as I've bought it: Mechanical and exterior 1993 black (202) now manual, W58 Twin Whifbitz decals, standard rear box New Toyota ancillary belt. Adjustable HKS suspension Uk brakes front and rear Lenso 19" staggered wheels Bridgestone Potenza tyres Replica Do-Luck type 2 front bumper Genuine Do-Luck type 1 rear spoiler Facelift head lights, remained with grey inserts. Custom front side lights and indicators ( bullet led). Pre-facelift rear lights with fog wired into near side reverse reflector. Interior Genuine Recaro Supra spec seats in awesome condition, no tears or bolster sag at all, on recaro rails. Genuine personal wheel with Veilside horn Dash face wrapped in dark grey suede effect material Carbon wrapped windscreen pillars Custom Do-Luck dials Genuine TRD gear knob All buttons and heater works! Black carpet with black mats. Grey roof lining. And here's a few pictures:
  10. (Plastic trim which sits above bonnet and below windscreen - £10) This is the scuttle panel mate. GLWS
  11. Went down to kerons garage the other day and picked up a set of standard manifolds and the first cat which resolved the emissions issue I had, then the bottom sliders on the brakes were seized which I sorted and now its passed its MOT. Thanks for all the help guys and thanks to keron for all the advice and parts!
  12. Cheers for all the comments on this guys, I found out I have a Magnaflow Highflow cat which I don't know a great deal about. I'm going to have to replace the manifold anyway because it's a custom made tubular and it catches on the steering column badly which it also failed on. I'm gonna sort all this and take it to a different MOT station.
  13. I have 1993 N/A Japanese Import Supra, took it for an MOT today and it failed on: Exhaust emissions carbon monoxide content after 2nd fast idle excessive. Exhaust emissions Lambda reading after 2nd idle outside specified limit. (I have a custom made tubular manifold to a sports cat and then a 3" system to the back box.) Offside front brake binding and offside rear brake binding. (with them both binding on the drivers side and not on the passenger side, i've recently fitted all new disks and pads, i'm thinking it could be something to do with the master cylinder because on the brake advisories it said RBT front brake imbalance:21%) Any help with these would be great as I'm not sure whether this is a common problem on these with the brakes and also any ideas on whether its the exhaust system itself or maybe something to do with the fueling etc from a previous owner. Thanks, Chris
  14. Nice one cheers, I'm considering camping if my friend wants to aswell
  15. Any convoy's on the saturday morning past the Midlands?
  16. Need one of these but have no idea what you wire it up to, Any ideas?
  17. I still have these sat in my garage. Still for sale
  18. Could you use this for an NA jspec? And can you fit them yourself?
  19. Bought a pair in the same condition a few weeks ago. Already love them.
  20. Taking up too much space need them gone, would be a shame just to throw these seats away
  21. Will do a very cheap price on these if the buyer comes to collect.
