Hi i have a standard dual mass flywheel im going to uprate the clutch, and im thinking about getting the dual mass welded and balanced rather than buying a solid one just to save some money, and i have done this at work on jaguar v6 cars works realy well. any opion on this?

Hi there would really like some one to shed some light on my transmission noise I'm getting from my 6speed TT? If any one is local and available to come out in my car and have a listen I would be very grateful cheers

another member had this problem last year he had a solid flywheel and an uprated clutch thats his video mine has the same sound! not as lound as his but belive its the same i have PM'd him as his thread ended with no result...

Has this been solved as i have the same noise but not as bad...i have standard clutch and flywheel. 6 speed TT cheers people

you can make it make the sound if u blip the thorttle on stand still makes the sound with the car in nutral stops if u depress the clutch!?... car wasnt on a ramp we just head under car sorta thing... He just came back around and said that one of his gear box rebuild guys refuses to belive this and said its way more likly to be the duel mass fly wheel... hopefully it is the fly wheel but i didnt even no this car had a duel mass lol

Hey guys been out at lunch with a friend!, can confirm its defo the gear box.... can also confirm its after the clutch and fly and more internal to the box,. my friend who builds 800HP skylines, recomends first protocal should be to change the gear box fluid as the car has only been in the uk for 7 months and no record of the last change?, he also said that these box's (6speed manual) Are Very strong and as my car is only running 360BHP it should be un damaged. The box has 75k miles on it (yes miles). any other input would be great guys cheers!

il have to have a listen later + get a mate to rev it a little wile i listen because the noise cant be heard at idle... cheers tho.

hey people, yesterday my TT started making a strange sound at low revs 800-2500rpm.. basicaly its like the sound u get if your driving at lets say 30MPH and you stick it in 6th gear you get that sorta struggling vibration sound... now i no the sound is not the engine as she runs sweet as a nut... the sound can also be heard and a standstill in nutral with the clutch released, if u dip the clutch and rev it you can hear this sound... theres no power loss and she dont drive any diffrent its just a noise. i use to own a MR2 turbo 18months ago and i had a similur sound on that turned out to be the prop shaft bolts vibrating them selfs lose..:S apprantly a common problem on them cars!?... il have to get under her tomorrow after work but any ideas would be a great help. i dont belive its the gearbox as she shifts like a beaut no nochyness or snaching, so slightly puzzled, also feel its getting slightly worst. or i may just be noticing it more now lol. cheers, sorry about spelling im tired long day lol **benje**

i was lucky to get an advance apprenticeship with jaguar when i finished school (16), i compleated it just under 4 years and then scored a Job as an prototype engine technician witch ive been working as for 6 months now love my job and my wage slip only we i can affored my cars and yea will be taking it easy, but im not like all young drivers i have a advance jaguar driving licence that i need to get to be able to drive the 5.0 supercharged cars. cheers

was planning on waiting till next month to insure the car but managed to get the same price (2k) yesterday!! so Well Happy! 20years old 2 years no claims 1 SP30 £2070 Cant complain!

LOL my m8's skyline run's at 2.5Bar so he never uses is controller's to lower the boost, witch is what il have to do after i delete the cats, also as he has a big single he will also have a large waste gate, and i belive the only reason u need a RR is due to the small waste gate's on the twins . as i work for a company with a machine shop il just make a few 2.2" 2.0" 1.8" and see what i get cheers and yea i already have a boost gauge

Lol yes i no what BPU iz and as Gaz stated i still have the cat so its not realy a BPU, I may be young but i work for test and development for jaguar landrover so i had to be trained to drive 500hp xkr xfr's etc. My last car was a S14a drift spec with 300hp at the wheels, i had the car 5 months be4 i sold her, Im not after Massive power as i like the Grand tourer sort of feel the supra has as its atualy nice to cruze in even with "tein" coilovers, Im basicaly going to be de-cating the car rasing boost to around 1.2bar and mapping her on 99octane fuel (shel vpower) My m8 has a 97 RZ with a single 600HP engine...and even tho its great fun and scary as F**K its not a nice car to "cruze in" cheers for your replies Guys!

Hey, just bought a RZ twinturbo(96) its a 6 speed manual and its basicaly a stage 1 its got a front monuted intercooler blitz boostcontrol blitz induction kit HKS exhaust running @1 bar still got a cat My goal is to achive around 450BHP what are my options? i dont what a single convertion as i like the twinsetup what sort of power can u get out of standard twins? is it costly to upgrade your twins? any advise would be Great!! cheers
