  1. Hey guys I'm after a oil feed flange from my turbo with a 4an fitting but I can only find ones with a restrictor fitted, would it be alright to run it using a restrictor if I don't need one as I don't wanna starve the turbo of oil thanks

    hey and welcome mate, sorry but think you would do better on the http://www.supraforum.com mate as thats the american site for these bud you might get better results 99% of those sup owners are all in the states, just trying to point you in the right direction
  5. p.s it isnt a xs power kit its just the turbo, i have a japspeed mani with downpipe, whifbitz oil feed and drain kits tial 50mm wastegate genuine hks bov from hks themselves apexi safc2 and soon to have a 2 stage hks ebc (low and high boost) and a aem wideband, i know some one whos running with just the safc2 and wideband tuned it himself and its been sweet as a nut so getting him to tune mine as he has the soarer twin now single so its in good hands
  6. cheers absz.... im just guna run it stock boost for now with a safc 2 and a aem wideband get it all leaned out but guna have to run it untuned for a week or 2 been told it should be alright with that........... guna run of base boost from the WG and see what spring is in it and go from there
  7. i only got it because my oem twins were shot and alot of stuff i brought fell at my feet at the right money so bar my turbo i got a good setup for next to nothing, plus it was on another members car he upgraded to something else and this was knocking about so i gathered for the money i payed i may aswell take the plunge just until my engine is run in and get one from paul whifin later down the line DOES anyone know if i need a restrictor as my first post cheers

  9. Hey guys I just got a xs power t61 for vertically nothing ( I know its xs power....) I was wondering if any off you guys know weather or not I will need a restrictor in place to help control the oil volume I may use and I'm guessing its oil cooled right? Cheers
  10. hey guys as above... just wondering weather or not the 2jz gte v band downpipe (single turbo) will fit directly onto a 1jz non vvti as they both come down directly of the turbo and looking at the pic there arent any differences well not that i can see thanks in advance any thoughts welcome

  12. i think its my turbos mate as i have all new internals and uprated as the head gasket ws cooked when i brought the engine so done a full strip down and rebuild with all new internals. i use a shed load of oil i used like 5 liters since saturday and thats driving it home 60 miles and to work 5 miles its all in the exhaust really bad and as i aint touching any pos boost im guessing turbos as am i right in saying that the H/G takes some major abuse to blow if so the turbos would be completly mashed so just starting to piece togoether a bog standard single..... T61 turbo japspeed mani tial 45mm W/G DP??? oil line kit??? want good reliable as dont want any fires suggestions?? will worry about the rest later on just wanna eliminate things before i start splashing on ecus etc - - - Updated - - - had keron look over it and do the loom wiring so i wouldnt have thought a split hose

I e sorted the cable mate thanks and as for the smoke I believe it's the valve stem seals but I'm just wondering why I ain't getting any positive boost would this be normal if my stem seals or knacked as the compression would be lower than normal I've had it to 4000 rpm I hear the first turbo spool but there's no noticeable boost any help or explanation would be great
  14. It seems to long mate I've only got like 30%throttle as the rest of it taking up the slack that's what Keron said anyways and don't seem to get the second turbo spooling. Also have some quite excessive smoke but was thinking that its still bedding in after 100miles am I right in saying that as I have all new internals piston rings etc any help would be much appreciated thanks

    hey guys my 1jz swap is done but i have a full decat system a fmic full induction system my question is do i need a piggyback ecu to have a good tune so it doesnt run lean or rich etc or will a fcd only be fine??
  17. i was looking at a soarer for breaking and due to lack of paerwork to drive it home no mot paperwork for tax to drive it for a while i left it amongst other reasons and the lad text me saying he went for a quick 2min drive hit the boost and he said the turbo has gone bang and there was loads of black smoke so i was just generally wondering what sort of damage could be done as im still wanting it for parts to complete my 1jz conversion
  18. hey guys when a turbo goes pop on a oem twin 1jz what is the potential damage? foreign objects sucked into the engine hence full rebuild etc??

  20. agreed lads nothing beats a fresh set but i brought a set as a project and ones like new its just the drivers side looks like crap plus im in the middle of a conversion so all money spoken for at mo.. Thanks for the help
  21. hey guys any ideas of getting that yellow tint out of plastic headlights i got one pre facelift one which is mint and the other not so is it just elbow grease and time or is there a certain polish you use??
