  1. Unfortunately i`m way past the age of neon jets!!
  2. Thankyou Liam, I guess i`ll try to unblock them on the car then. Ian
  3. I`ve tried the search button but can not find anything about removing the jets from the bonnet. This is to clean them and redirect the one that squirts over the roof, not replace them with Saxo jets!! Anyone help with this one? Ian
  4. Hi, I have a HKS BOV fitted in the stock position and my car makes the "rat-rat-rat" noise on lift off. Does that mean the BOV is not working or does it just need adjusting? Any help very much appreciated. ps I have twin hybrids running at about 1.2 bar but don`t give it a lot of stick. Ian
  5. Rosie, I have paid by Paypal and also could do with another sticker as they do not like being transfered from one car to another. Keep up the good work. Ian
  6. Elliot, If you decide to get rid of the rear window spoiler, can you let me know a price, i`ll take it of your hands. Ian
  7. Thanks Ben, I like what has been done it looks very proffesional, however I don`t think i`ll try it myself, I prefer the stick on stuff on the front. Ian
  8. Ben, out of interest, where did you get the front and rear light "brows" or whatever they are called? Ian

  10. Adam, I have had a go at the oven thing, but gave up before I had melt down!! Are you sure it only takes 5 minutes because I still could not get the bloody thing apart. Ian
  11. Supna. Did fitting the Apexi induction kit make any difference either in performance or sound? What is the part number and where did you get it from? Ian Aerotop n/a Veilside Powerflow and loving it.
  12. Thanks chaps, I will have a go. Ian
  13. Adam, I have been looking at the job you have done on the rear lights and it is exactly what I am looking to do. You say that the procedure to seperate the parts is the same as the front lights ie heat treatment, but where can I find this information? I assume you used aerosol can for the job? All info. would be greatfully received. Ta Ian
  14. Prize them off with a screwdriver, but be carefull of the paint.
  15. Ice, I had no problem at the new Toyota dealer near Truro (Cornwall). When I first got my car, with unknown history, I booked it in for a full service and cam belt change, no extra because it is an import, very friendly people who genually showed an interrest in the car and the price was reasonable. No complaints here but I can understand what the others say. I guess it`s down to luck!! Ian
  16. I agree with Mark ie. the "Blue Vision" bulbs are better than standard, but can never be likened to HID set up. Halfords sell this type of bulb but try powerbulbs.com, they are cheaper!! Regards Ian
  17. Hi- Banaman69. (Where do people get their call signs from!! Mines my reg. number. Anyway, to answer your question, simple use the same bulbs for main beam and dip (HB3). This is the smaller diameter sealing ring and fits right in. I spoke to Powerbulbs where I got mine from and they said some cars have the same bulbs in both, and they certainly appear to be ok to me. Ian
  18. Steve, Pattern appears the same and anyway Powerbulbs, where I bought my bulbs from, said the Ford Puma uses the same bulbs in dip and main so they must be OK!!! Best regards and Merry Christmass Ian
  19. Steve, I have fitted main beam bulbs in dip holders by trimming the 2 lugs of in the bulb connector with a stanley knife. Fits perfick, you do`nt even have to trim the side bits!! Lights are much better, so go on do it !! Ian
  20. I have fitted the Philips "Blue Vision"main beam bulbs in the dip holders with no problems. You have to cut of the 2 spigots in the bulb connector which i did with a stanley knife, 2 minute job. You do`nt even have to modify the locating lugs. So, go to it!! Ian MKIV Aerotop N/A full Veilside. (looking for best exhaust)
  21. Steve, Just fitted side and main beam bulbs and with a little bit of trimming they fitted OK. The dip beam will be slightly different as, in the connector there is 1 locating tag and on the HB3 (main beam bulb) there are 2. On contacting PowerBulbs they say it is OK to file off the tags on the bulb as long as the bulbs are still tight in the holder, they should be !! This means both main and dip bulbs are the same. I hav`nt tried this yet but will do in a few days. Bit worried that the Blue Vision dip bulb (that won`t fit) has a silver tip on it !! Any thoughts? Ian
  22. FATS. Thank`s for info. let me know how you get on. Ian
  23. Steve - I`m new on this site so please excuse any mistakes. I have just bought some "blue" bulbs from a company called Power Bulbs and have found exactly the same as you describe ie. low beam bulb will not fit due to sealing ring being of too big a diameter and high beam having 2 location pegs in the connector instead of 1!!! Have you come to any conclusions yet? Ian - from sunny Newquay looking out over the sea. J-Spec. N/A Aerotop with complete Veilside kit.
