Could be some kind of ground loop or something. I think thats basicly noise picked up from other things grounded through the chassis. You can get ground loop isolators for a few quid from places like maplins that connect between the headunit and the amps audio cable that might help. I had this problem on my old car when i had a pc hooked up to the Aux input - ground loop isolator fixed it good and proper.

My personal favorite bit of bell endery, is that its neigh on impossible to get insured for the test driving of private sale vehicles for someone under the age of 25. So me being the law abiding kinda guy i am end up buying from dealers all the time. Between them, the insurance companies and the government, I have developed a bad back from bending over so much.

Just looking back at some of the old threads and its giving me an idea why I didn't see more there, but I did spot a couple - a black one I think de-spoilered and I'm sure there was a white one knocking about somewhere - anyone from here? I was there with the r/c car guys so didn't get around much, plus that amount of sun hurts my head so spent a fair bit of time hiding from it! We were there in 2007 and had to camp with the general public... would never want to do that again, luckily this year we were able to camp next to our arena like the traders. The two areas are worlds apart in the evenings, we didn't get stabbed or anything!

My brother had his Golf F**ked over last year. Nov 5th - some oiks smashed his rear window and when no one came to look they chucked a couple of lit fireworks inside the car. Its the worst kind of anger as there's sod all you can do with it, no one to let it out on. Mine did this just after I got the car. Fresh import so had a new speedo face put on to convert it to MPH. It wasnt stuck down too well so the needle got stuck on the card where it was raised slightly. I ended up taking the card off and adding a small drop of super glue to keep it from lifting off the dial, but then I had the fun of putting the needle back on in the correct place. You might be able to stick it down without needing to take the needle off though, it just means removing the instrument cluster from the dash.

The 23-29cc ones found in 1/5th scale r/c cars seem to have a range of about 2k to 20k rpm or there abouts, so perhaps in that sort of range?

My bro is about to scrap a '94 polo coupe, but its got no exhast from the manifold back, not alot of interior left and is missing a few things like front indicators. Everything in GTA IV can be tweaked now, same was as in SA, VC and gta3, just this time you need to get one file modded to bypass a file check thats done on the .dat files before the game loads GTA is always more fun when the modding and sodding starts
