SORTED (I think) I used the toyote rapair kit as some of the wires were loose, somebody had put the white clips inside the connectors the wrong way round Thanks again for your help Chris.

I should have explained myself better, I had it smoothed over when I got the car resprayed, when I look from inside all I can see is a metal plate that has been spot welded on the inside of the tailgate then the hole filled in, but cant see any bracket for the long screws to attatch to, or is it possible that the plate that is welded on is covering the holes, I cant find the post but someone here mentioned that their is a bracket on the back somewhere, I am just trying to find out before I start removing the filler, I am thinking I could possibly drill holes in the plate that has been spot welded on and fix the light to that, I already have a light to fix on, and yes all the wiring is there, thanks for your input guys.

My 3rd brakelight was removed and smoothed over, and now want to put it back, looking from inside it appears their is no bracket, would anyone please give me the part number or a diagram ,,,,,thanks.

I just checked it out it is definately the plastic covering for the Loom, just need to find out how it is supposed to be fastened on, looks like it was taped on before , I was only asking as I didn't know if it was crucial or not to have the loom covered, I would have thought it was because of heat etc, ...........as for the well done comment ,I am not counting my chickens yet, as I said before this problem comes and goes with sometimes days in between with no problems, I really wish that if the problem comes back (god forbid) it stays misfiring all the time then at least I can play about with it until it stops........ My pads are quite new(blueprint) I only done the upgrade a couple of months ago, heard so many good things about yours will definitely buy when needed , lexus front + jspec rear........Thanks

Yesterday I unplugged the Ignitor connections and gave them a good dose of wd 40,since then I have driven up and down my local road for at least 4 hours with no issues , also ordered new coil packs and the terminal repair kit,,,,,,, I know this is not a great explanation but what is the ribbed hose that feeds into the top of the engine underneath the Y shaped pipe, because the ribbed casing has come away from its fixing point at engine side, is this the wireing from the ignitor module?,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Very much appreciate your help Chris, will have to repay you with an order for your pads in the near future, do you do the pads for the ls400 upgrade???

As you may or may not know, I have been having problems with a random misfire caused by code 14, (possible serious problem,thread) was just wondering why the engine symbol light comes on a good 3 to 5 seconds before I can feel any misfire, I just thought it strange how the light comes on before the problem has started ,,,,,,thanks ,,,,,,mark

I had my centre light brake light smoothed over when I had it resprayed a couple of years ago, shows up terribly now, starting to swell and paint splitting, I am sure it would show up in the near future especially with a flexible ally bonnet.

Scott that reminded me of something, if you take a deep breath in and blow into a binliner with your mouth against it,,,,, it hardly inflates, but if you hold it about a foot away almost totally inflates you probably already know this , and I havnt got a clue how it relates to this thread, but a good trick anyway
