  1. Chris, How good is the design of the sump/oil pick-up on the supra engine with regards to oil starvation through cornering/acceleration/braking forces on track days, i'm thinking about doing some track time in the summer, a seized ford CVH engine many years ago has been putting me off, although i have not heard of any problems. I will also be in contact in the spring time for one of your de-cats for the n/a. Regards nick _________________________________________
  2. Al, did the brakes on my 97 n/a (single pot caliper) couple of months ago part number for rear pads from toyota is T04466-30030 price is £33.72 +the vat, also did the piston repair kit as well, for future reference the part number for that is T04479-24030 £27.89 +the vat __________________________________________ nick
  3. Thanks for the replies, Highpower want £537 for the kit and £300 for fitting it, the progressive controller is a further £300 on top but this turns the kit from a single shot kit into a fully controllable one where i could have 100-150bhp jets fitted, and use it safely, AFAIK it does this by means of you programming the control by telling it what percentage of power you want after various times into the run, MONKEYMARK how did elvington go yesterday, did the cortina get away without any problems this time, did you run, i was going to turn up again but i had a 4Oth party on saturday night didnt want to risk driving.
  4. Ok Guys, http://www.highpower.freeserve.co.uk have just quoted me £837+ vat for a nitrous kit 11lb bottle 25hp (to start with) kit fitted and set up on a n/a, has anyone had nitrous fitted or heard of any disaster stories for supe. _____________________________________ nixk

  8. i must apologise to the group for my rude/none introduction of myself my name is nick broomhead and i live in macclesfield, cheshire, i have owned my 97 gunmetal n/a for around 6 months now the car is totally standard apart from 18" rh rims, image below, thanks for the information i never thought about disc being so worn the 'squealer' was rubbing the unworn part, possibly time for new discs. nick
  9. Could someone please tell me what brake pads/part number i need for my 97 n/a, the diameter of the disc is 295mm and 16mm thick i could hear some squealing yesterday from the nearside rear so this afternoon i took it to pieces to find that the pads only have about 3mm left on them and that the wear detector on the pad was making the noise being in contact with the disc, so just to get me around locally i got the angle grinder out and ground it back, i also checked the piston in the caliper (undid the reservoir cap) pumped it right forward but had to get a 'g' clamp on it to get the piston to retract fully, after a road test the disc/wheel is now quite hot, my second question is what is the best way to go about recon this caliper, can i just pop the piston out clean it all up with emery in a lathe and put it back together regards nick
