  1. I would have gone all the way with a 69, that will teach him.
  2. What is this? just a meet or something? ive heard a few people talking about it and never bothered to ask.
  3. My N/A passed the last two MOT'S with nothing to fault, the guys at the garage say how mint condition it is and that they get cars 5 years old that go in with problems.
  4. I could buy one, insure it and run it fine, but I couldnt handle a money pit, and I need a reliable car. Like Chris said If I bought one with a blown engine for between 1-2k and have the engine built by a top notch specialist that way I know it should be a good a runner however Im not sure now I wanna take the chance. If I can get insurance on a TT6 import then thats what I will get.
  5. My mum dont drive but I could try with my dad or my older sister on. Thats what I did when I owned my GTI-R at 21, it knocked the insurance down a few hundred, it seems in my case I need a grand dropping lol.
  6. Tried A plan, they are shut. The silly cunts have their lines open from 8:30-5pm whats the point when everyones at work, im pissed off now.
  7. Show off lol, I bet not too long ago the supra was a car for over 30's only, If you can get one at that age then get one just please dont abuse it;) @Chris Wilson Sounds like a good idea I bet the go for 2-3k with blown engine, only thing with me is I Dont get my hands dirty and stay away from mechanics on my car (I wouldnt even service my car) simply because im not confident and cant afford mistakes, I could look out for a blown engine one thou, thanks. + I dont know anyone who works on rotaries.
  8. That did cross my mind however they are massive cars inside and I fear of drowning in the comfort (only 5 foot 9).
  9. Likewise:rolleyes: Just asked the sky insurance guy on here if their is anything he can do, I think its abit stupid how someone like myself cannot get insured on this type of car mainly because of where I live, I know of a 19 year old on here who owns a TT six speed he lives down south and hes paying less than what I am on my N/A:mad:
  10. Happy birthday Ian, may all the pancakes you ever need appear on your doorstep on the hour of 12:sly:
  11. Hi Mr Sky insurance man;), ive rang SKY up before and they would not touch me because of the area I live, is there anything that can be done as you guys have given quotes to people who are younger and have a worse history than me:(
  12. 29 really I thought you was younger than me:blink: Anyway £500 aint a bad price, have you had a quote for a TT? also I wouldnt worry about what car your getting next as you're not far from getting a bus pass:p
  13. Benners thats a new one lmao, Yeah sounds like me and you are in a similar situation. Do you drive n/a I take it?
  14. lol Thats my advantage of being 5 foot 9, I think I would fit perfect in a Rex:d Yeah I know two people with R33 GTS-T RWD, they are ok but I dont like the dashboards and with it being the main thing I will see while driving I want a good dash. I cant think of much else I like apart from Mitsy 3000gt or GTO however ive read bad things about them by people who owned them, still nice looking car IMO.
  15. I love most JDM cars mate but I think the s15 are to expensive for what they are, I actually prefer the s13 out of all of them:sly: I think the only thing stopping me from upgrading to a TT is my insurance now:( Hopefully I can get a few quotes in before my xbox addiction kicks in tonight:d In my eyes the best cars to go for is Supra/RX7/Skyline although I find 4wd a bit boring + skylines have crap dashboards compared to the supra and Rex.
  16. Thought about it and I really want to get the TT because the car has been put together to handle the power ect, If I got mine upgraded I would never be sure that everything has been made to support that sort of power. Also would still like a white one:d Yeah I will do that tonight, I wish the difference was one hundreds but unfortunetly over a grand more, like you said its pretty much the same car apart from power.
  17. Hmm maybe if I let him win me on forza he will go over my car for free...... or maybe not lol
  18. Will do, the problem with me getting a quote now is I only have two years no claims and if I say I wont be getting a car till I get my third year NCB then they wont quote me. All I want is a TT manual is it THAT much to ask:(
  19. I wish it was 1.5k, nah thats what I would pay if I got a quote that cheap lol, everyone wants 2.4k+ for the TT Import, im 25, with 3 points and nothing else within the last 3 years(which most insurance companys ask instead of 5 years now) and I will have 3 year NCB, held my licence for almost 8 year (only reason Ive not many NCB was I lost 4years NCB on a crash I had few years back). Im annoyed at the fact ive always paid car insurance/tax/mot yet im at a sensible age and im still getting ripped off. Yo Alex, im with flux now and im paying £1300 for the n/a also tried sky and they wont touch me, I think I may have to try more import specialists.
  20. If I got a quote for less than 1500 I would be happy with that and I would deffo go for the TT supra. Closer to the time i will give it another go with insurer's.
  21. Yeah I noticed that when I was looking thats another point why I dont want an auto, Out of all the cars I could get the supra or RX7 are my fav's so would like to stick with that (if possible) as for the subaru, there are plenty round here and we dont need another one lol.
  22. My car would have to be a daily driver (around 4 miles to work and back) I cant afford to run two cars if one of thems gonna be a sports car. A UK Supra is around £1300 but I while back I got a quote for only £750 but couldnt remember who gave me that quote but that is a brilliant price for me, TT cheapest is £2400 but If I had the money to buy a car right now I would have put up a post asking what insurance companys to try for in my situation (alot of companys wont unsure me because of the area) Yeah I agree with you on the 300zx they are nice but not in the same way the supra or Rex is, I still wouldnt mind owning one as I could afford one quite easily providing it was reliable like the supra.
