  1. is it not their mates dropping veilside spoilers on the supras and selling on the standard spoiler to their mates with vectras to recoup costs ?
  2. me too got 5 1/2k out of my 452s on the back

lol thats a first fuel consumption is going to be higher on a 2stroke you got to buy the mixer oil for a start and if a kids had it, it will have been cheap rubbish, and the enige will have been thrashed i'd get a little geared 4 stroke and go from there

still not finished off my module 1 and 2 you still got the theroy to do ? you could get yourself a old cg125 and plod round on that very cheaply for a while and do your restricted test on it, or just go DAS and get something larger looking at bike to get after i finsh my tests, its the normal insurance costs that prevent massive bikes, i'm only after a drz400sm so im stuck on which licence to do, more than likely be das though the only diffrence is going to be size/weight of bike, the road craft is the same whatever the bike
  7. i managed to get a spanner on that one when i did the coil packs, only just enough to crack it off, but enough,
  8. my renewal with markerstudy ( sky ) fell though, sky matched flux's price by using someone else, i pay them to find me the best lowest quote the first time not have to sod about making stupid phone calls to get £70 knocked off just cause someone else will do it for less, just waiting for the WRITTEN confirmation ofthe agreed value to come back
  9. erm have you tried twisting the dimmer knob ? i'm sure you have ??
  10. livingstones don't do imports only uks and sky want extra £70 for agrred value, worth that for k's more on a payout should it be needed
  11. just had my renewal come in at £1 more than last year which was a nice surprise, this has also been moved to markerstudy and yet again they have left off the agreed value, so will be ringing them in the morning
  12. had this issue twice, both times replacing the rear shock sorted it
  13. got mine with sky, but i beleve they stopped it on new policys, adrian flux do them, but some here have had problems come payout time from what i remember you get the normal policy, then you kind of have a second to cover the extra between book and your value
  14. yeap i kind of wish it would stop working then i could nail it down hopefully a dodgy plug (yeah i'm not that lucky) and its all fixed now
  15. Used it this morning to get to work and drove ok. But when i pulled up at work its ticking over slightly rough and hunting a bit only maybe 25-50 rpm if that much ????
  16. having this on the van at the mo mine is a bad battery connection
  17. All the plugs changed and nothing too out of order found 2 coil packs have different colour rubbers on so guess they been changed at some point. Some of the packs have small hair line cracks around the mounting screws. And all the resistance and the packs is the same.
  18. From what i can see if the ign signal either to or from the ignitor or coil packs stops the ecu will cut all fuel. So you can't even run on 4 or 5 cylinders ?
  19. Hi ian. Nope none of that. If it starts its fine pulls as normal. No misfires. Idle seems normal if a very little ruff. Off tomorrow. So going to pull the coil packs and change the plugs. As they not been done since i got it off brian. I found the fault check list on the oz forum so going to try and go though that too. But at the mo its a intermitant problem. A faith busting problem. Just don't trust it to start if i go anywhere now.
  20. update checked codes and the code 14 is back and it started tonight grrr
  21. i got a rear j-spec pair on leaky shocks you can have
  22. this has now developed into a starting issue took it for a mot last week and stopped at shop to grab a paper on the way, after coming out the car took an age to start, turning over but not firing, after about 10 attempts she started all was fine passed mot, then had the stall at a juinction as in last post, went to pick the girlfriend up from train station last night and while i was sitting warming it up the revs dropped right off like it was going to die then shot up to1800rpm so i switched it off and restarted and all was fine, used it to travel to hers tonight and all was good, tried to leave to come home, sat warming it up and it died and will not restart, the fuel pump is priming up before attempting to start, the engine is turning over as normal, seems to be trying to start but just not catching, typical on a bank holiday weekend, i'm working sat, sun and mon so not going to get much chance to look but some ideas on what to check next ????????? have searched and can't find this in other posts
  23. coil pack clips changed took all of 1/2 hour tops, (cheaper from mr manley than local toyota garage as normal) took battery off to reset ecu while i was doing it, all started fine but stopping at the first junction about 3/4 mile on test drive after the engine just died, started fine straight after came home checked for code and found none, has been out for a spirted drive since and alls good atm so i'm putting the die down to the ecu relearning ?????
  24. you mean the ones that go from pad to pad ? put them in last or leave them out not got them on mine
  25. this is not something that has been disturbed ever since i had the car i'll just order some new coil pack clips and change them anyway, cars a 93/94 so they are going to be old, unless former owner has changed them, soopdog ??? you changed them ??? just worrying when lights come on
