  1. all my local ones told me to sling my hook, even tyre places I know well (Northway for example) stopped.

Maybe I should try them all again when my tyres wear out. But at 1000 miles a year that may be a little while away.

Chris who owns Apsley Tyres (Kings Langley) would be happy to sort you out with a good price for tyres or just fitting.

  2. Lbm,

well you've asked - not sure if they're nice...

    Some are very good indeed.

The indoor performance shots are always tricky with low light using this kind of camera. With higher ISO's needed yet compromising the images etc. I guess you were't excatly going to take a tripod to the gig. :)

I like the animal shots in particular and believe you've captured some fab images with this camera.

How are you enjoying the FZ28 so far, and did you use A, S, P, M mode or IA?

  3. I know it seems a huge list but trust me, the winter has some long quiet nights out here. :)

Yes of course. I guess your job and lifestyle is a bit *oil rig worker* 6 months on, 6 months off :)

  4. I'm not sure on the reinstatement of capital punishment, I mean, looking at America, it doesn't appear to be much of a deterrant, does it.

Corporal punishment, however, would go a long way to improving the state of this beleaguered isle. Teachers, parents & Police need to be able to administer a damn good thrashing every now and then to restore a modicum of respect back into society.

The country has been led by wishy washy xtian care bears for far too long and we are paying the price for it.

One teacher recently took this course of action a little far, but I take the point :)

  5. I would welcome capital punishment back here in an instant.

    Great deterent....

As Hogmaw points out - it isn't.

Look at the USA. It's one of the most violent countries with death penalty rolled out across many states.

Although to be fair to Scotland, they're doing quite well now in the league.

  7. Really? I was advised to go for the hard stuff to get the best out of her...performance and economy (economy meant relatively loosely of course lol)

    Welcome youngin_f_l :)

Mine runs on standard unleaded and seems just fine :)

For the extra 10% premium you pay on top for the finer stuff I can't imagine the mileage gained being an extra 10% so to be fair standard unleaded is probably better (for economy) :taped:

There are plenty of threads with varying opinions on this, if you have the time to trawl through them -

However, after 9 years of TT ownership I've tried both and I can't tell the difference, and 99% of the time I use regular unleaded.

  8. My girlfirends mother is a "questionable" character shall we say, but this really takes the michael!

    See below.

    Kill it with fire.

    HTH.

The first instinct in normally the correct one.

Don't really set her on fire though as it would seem really bad.
