did you change th erelease bearing when you uprated the flywheel and clutch? if you didnt i would reckon its the cause -

does the noise dissapear when you put your clutch in? if so it the release bearing 100% -
have you paid them yet? they are not legally allowed to change parts without your consent! you are quite within your rights to have your pads put in free of charge. i would not let them take you for a ride mate, if you doubt them you also have the right to ask citizens advice and trading standards

idle control valve perhaps?

very hard to repair as it will need completlt redoing to get a flat finish. how big is the crack? if i was in your position i would get it sprayed but in some sort of pattern that would cover the crack and also look good and still showing some of the carbon

cig lighter works tho, havent got the car at mo its getting retrimmed so will check the heater fuse when i get it back

was also thinking of getting one of these as when i tok off the inlet to the throttle body there was quite a bit of oil, how come its on the other side of the engine then?
