  1. I'd be well up for doing a scene like that if they do a UK F&F film... be a good chance to get some decent looking Supras on camera?
  2. Makes much more sense now I know it's just cosmetic changes I've seen so many pre-96 cars with Facelift parts, I hadn't been able to tie it down to a Toyota release after a specific year...
  3. Nice one... thanks guys, I'd seen loads of facelift details, just hadn't heard when and why all these changes happened
  4. Those twins corrupted my child like mind
  5. I've got mine in the rear quarter glass... looks quite classy as they're not completely obvious behind the tinted windows but the white logo shows through nicely. I'm big on subtlety with things like this... Sorry if someones already suggested this but I think we should have a club ID badge with our Avatars on it for club meets too... It would make it much easier for new members to mingle??? we could have a standard template on the site for people to print off before a meet, could have a similar badge to put in the car window for the same reason... I'd be happy to knock something up if people like the idea... Rob
  6. I've been a member on here for quite a while now and people often refer to Facelift dials, lights, dash etc. While I can see the differences between these parts compared to my Jspec. I still don't really know where these facelift designs came from? Please forgive my ignorance but is there a standard for facelift Supras?
  7. The bit with the pickups? is that the bit with the scramble just b4 the end? that bit is sooo funny... there's are quite a few supras in that scene but I'm sure they used the same red Sup in about nine different shots going a different direction each time I was looking for Sups, I guess they're not counting on people scrutinizing the film that much...
  8. I know I'll prob get a kicking but I first fell in love with the Sup when I saw it on the back of that tow truck... It was a total pipe dream to own a machine like that six years ago... I just loved the idea of taking a run down car and turning it into something amazing... minus the Chav Graphics of course Technically of course, looking back it's laughable but I've still got to tip my hat to that film for drawing my attention to the Sup.
  9. The sound was almost metalic... sounded like i'd run into a bollard!!! Does anywhere sell 3L2 touch up paint
  10. I'm very lucky... just piss*d at myself for not taking it easy... Forgot what car I was driving for a second
  11. Cheese Alert!!! I love these films for what they are, cheesy mindless fun... got to say tho the second one was rather awful tho I was rather piss*d off that there weren't any Sups in Tokyo Drift.. Does anyone know why there weren't any Toyotas in the film? - have they pulled their name as they don't want to be associated with illegal racing or something? Rob
  12. Went to Cambridge this morning for a meeting and parked in a rather subterranean car park.... The acoustics were absolutely fantastic and the car sounded amazing with the roof off!!! here it comes... So I was revving the engine rather loudly while going down a sharp incline... got to the bottom too quickly and CRUNCH!!! scrapped the bottom of my Bomex front on the ground as the shocks did their job... The bang was very loud but luckily the only damage is to the paintwork on the underside of the front bumper, so unless it's on a ramp it won't be noticed... It's my first crunch moment in the Sup and I guess I was asking for it, showing off and all... Still feeling rather gutted and sorry for my self tho but I guess I'm lucky I didn't crack it...
  13. Damn straight.... only common sense if you ask me
  14. Wow, what a Finnish! car looks great... the Trial looks awesome in that colour
  15. Make sure it's the sports track your buying. That's the standard modern stuff that works with the digital kits... It's got the square connectors rather than the old style hoops that were a b*tch to undo Me and my flatmate went a bit mad year before last and bought tonnes of track and I started modding my Scalextrix supra stuck a 4500rpm motor in it super strong magnets etc... Scaled the track to a quater mile down our rather long hall and spent the afternoon calculating quatermile runs lol very sad I know but it was a bit of fun... lol
  16. lol... that'll teach me to skim thru posts, just looking at the pics
  17. Manual form of entry..... yeah I guess that makes sense, lovely car by the way
  18. I nearly bought one of those collapsible gazebos from Tescos, for exactly that reason...lol decided against it as my neighbors already think I'm mad
  19. Have you got any pics of your car??? I really don't understand the whole emergency exit thing??? You still have standard handles on the inside don't you?
  20. I love the front of the 360 but it looks a bit weird on the Sup IMO... I'd love to see a 360 rear for the Supra, combined with the very expensive Twin Exhaust conversion I think it would look awsome...
  21. yeah, My mates tuscan was just awesome soooo classy The handles are starting to fade on mine and rather than getting them re-conditioned I was thinking it would look a bit more interesting... and different... might try and get some folding mirrors at the same time
  22. Awesome photos Tom!!! gonna have to get you to do some decent ones of my car I think
  23. how do you do that then???
