  1. and am I right in thinking it basically helps you get off the line better?
  2. so.... "Stall speed is the amount of engine rpm that can be attained at full throttle with brakes locked and transmission in gear before the driving wheels turn. The stall is only attainable if the brakes can hold the vehicle." so how much are they usually?? ... say if you were going for a T61 or T67 turbo?
  3. What is it?? I've seen people mentioning it loads and I've done a search, but can't actually find what it is. What I've sussed out so far is it's for people with autos and larger than stock turbos. Someone mind explaining what it is, what it does. How much and what is involved in getting it on the car? Is it built into a gearbox? Do you need to buy a special gearbox with it? Thanks in advance!
  4. Just remember to drive like a granny in the rain!! I had a 300bhp mr2 turbo and I spun it twice in the wet. One time alot of damage, and the other... luckily not that much. Like others have said, you have to treat rwd cars and wet roads with respect. Worst time is when it hasn't rained for a while, then does. The roads are greasy!! The Supra is alot more forgiving compared with the mr2 though (I'm glad!!). I usually drive very carefully in the wet all the same.
  5. I've got some apline speakers in my doors... but don't know what's in the rears. To put it bluntly, they're all SHIT!! Can't handle even the slightest bit of bass. I'm gonna replace all the speakers as soon as!

    Oh dear

take the eye brows off... the decals on the bonet, roof and spoiler and I think it would look not too bad.
  7. mine is painted and looks fine. Was like this before I got the car tho.
  8. anyone know whatt episode it is?
  9. pics of the bumper, and how much you looking for it?
  10. 8 to 10 litres will get you how many miles?
  11. How does the agreed value option with sky work?? Do you have to ask for this option? Do you have to pay more?
  12. Just to be safe mate, I would mention everything on the car that isn't standard. When I had the mr2 I had a mahoosive list... even listing simple things as clear front indicators etc!
  13. got a link to the seller mate? Also, anyone know how much the panels are from Nic?
  14. Where can I get a set of dash trims in carbon? If this makes sense? I'm on about the stuff that sticks over your existing dash. Seen a set on ebay, it looked really good until I noticed it was for a manual!! Anyonw?? thanks
  15. Yeah... in the days of my old mr2 if you changed the one way valve around on the stock bov you could make it sound like this. Again, it was thought to be because of compressor stall.
  16. I named everything with sky when I went BPU. They didn't seem to care what they were, just what the bhp increase was. It resulted in a £15 per month increase!! for about a 12% increase in bhp (roughly)
  17. How easy is it to get the rubber coating stuff off?? Mine is in bad condition and needs painted or something!
  18. Yeah, if you have to also fork out for some larger wheels it maybe something worth thinking about as a future thing. Sure the UK brake setup is thought of as better, but tbh the Jap ones should do you fine. I've got the Jap setup and don't have a problem with them. Saying that I will be changing to UK setup eventually... simply because they are better.
  19. Yeah.. it would be easier to re-fit the longer one as it's miles easier to get to the bolts on it. But if you re-fit either should it pass emissions testing?
  20. Just double decatted the car and fitted a cat back exhaust. Curious as to what one of the cats you need to put back on for the MOT? The larger one (underneath the car), or the smaller one? (closer to the engine) Thanks in advance!
