  1. Hmmmm mine was simple flooded. Of course I will lay the blame for this entirely on the missus even thought she had absolutely nothing to do with it
  2. I just had the very same thing happen to me ! Car starting first time with no probs then one morning I turn the key the starter motor turns but the engine doesn't fire! Definitely fuel in there but nothing happening ..... right pain in the posterior. Car stuck on my driveway and I'm walking to work scratching my head wonder wtf has gone wrong. I'll keep an eye on this thread for sure.
  3. Thanks for all your advice guys, Decided my best option was to take the car to a tyre specialist and have the wheel balanced but unfortunately it would have seemed that the previous owner had fitted them without spacer thingie's and used the wrong wheelnuts, one was even missing but I think I was made aware of that by Colin when I bought it. Consequently three of the alloys we're buckled quite badly, one so bad that the guy described it as "Nearly effing square" so I've just shelled out £600 on new set. I'm just wondering if there is a worthwhile insurance claim on this ?!?!? By the way I in no way blame Colin for this, he sold it in good faith and couldn't possible have known that the previous owner was a bit of a knob jockey.
  4. The tyres an alloys came with the car when purchased but look fairly new. I do get a metallic noise when turning at full lock and also I've noticed this morning a slight high pitch metallic sound when driving along.
  5. Ello, Found time to search for your post zazzn. Your right I'm not much of a clubby type unless it's some dingy hole with banging music and flashing lights. Might pop along to a meet sometime because then someone might be able to tell me why I get a vibration at about 80mph !!!!
  6. CJ is absolutely right - grinning from ear to ear !!! Back behind the wheel of a supra again, about bloody time. This anecdote may not please CJ but to me he is like Anal Sex !!!! I've had a horrid few days but getting that car and dealing with CJ today made my "Whole week" ..... BOOM BOOM..get it...??? She drives like a dream and looks amazing.
  7. It's me :-) Picking it up in....ooooooooh ..... about an hour :-) Hopefully no thieving chav will lay their dirty grubby hands on this one and I can enjoy it for much long than the month I had my last one (grrrrrr) Always wanted a black one anyway :-)
  8. Phone number for SKY wouldn't work for me today ?!?!!?
  9. Where in Hampshire? Just getting paid out for my stolen and written off Supe, definately looking for a replacement?
  10. Mine fit in lovely. I have an IZZO bag which is more oval in shape than round, perfect fit even with the cover over. So good infact that when some a**eholes stole my Supe they didn't even notice the clubs were there and they were still in it when it was recovered. Playing like a girl too..................played my club foursome semi final on Sunday and got beaten 8 & 6......ruuuuubbbbish
  11. Waiting for my insurance settlement for my old stolen and written off supe :-( If it comes in the next few days I wouldn't mind having a peak, looks lovely.
  12. Black Supe spotted by my girlfriend a few times parked at Nirvana Spa in Sindlesham recently.
  13. Any of you guys and guls take part in the Free Yahoo! fantasy football? It's a good game because you can change your players as and when you like as long as you stay within your budget, you have to be a very shrewd player to come up trumps. PM me if it's of interest and I'll setup a private mkiv league.
  14. That's cheered me up a bit, nice one. Not as much as my joy at taking told of my hire car............ A lovely Nissan Almera Estate (Vroom Vroom)
  15. My recently written off 93 N/A Supe :-( Had all the tones and reversing beep
  16. Right just been informed by forensics that they left no traces of evidence in the car so a prosecution is very very unlikely (hope they f**kin hurt themselves) The garage it is currently at reckons it's highly likely to be written off due to the damage, it's un-drivable. I love the look of your Aero Scooby but I doubt the insurance company will given me anymore than the £4750 I paid for it, even though I reckon it was worth at least £6000 because of it's condition and ultra low mileage. Guess I'll just have to wait and see.
  17. I'm not sure that I'd want it back now, it'd not be the same. I really don't care for the welfare of the driver at the moment, if they'd smashed their brains all over the windscreen I'd want to keep it to remind me of the vile scum that exists in our society. Alas should they write it off I will not hesitate to get Jurgen on the case for a replacement mkiv. Fitted with the flame thrower of course.
  18. Yep they used the letterbox thang !! Keys were at the back of the house well away from the front window. There's no access to the back unless you make one hell of a noise and considering it was pitch black and no lights were on they must have had superman vision to see them. The police say that it's just opportunists. They go from door to door checking to see if the deadlocks are on or not then let themselves in regardless of what they see through the window, then they just grab whatever they can before they get rumbled. It's easy for them because if the handle outside drops down then they know they can get in, keeping the keys in the lock doesn't help either because they'll just get them out. Some people say that your silly for not deadlocking the door but I tell you what, I'd rather be robbed than burn to death in a fire whilst looking for my keys to get out. Easiest way to avoid this type of crime is to attach a grill of a box behind the letterbox so they can't get anything inside to grab the handle or you could replace the lever handle for a knob but I'm sure the nobs have got a way of getting around the Knobs.
  19. Yep it was mine !!! Police got it now for tests. Not really hopeful. Completely gutted. No tears!!!!!
  20. What do you guys think I'd be likely to get paid out for insurance if it is a total loss ?!?!? It's a 93 N/A auto, 36,000 miles.
  21. It really is highly likely to be my Mkiv :-( Someone broke into my house whilst I was asleep last night, definately before 5:30am and stole my wallet, keys and of course my lovely, immaculate silver Supra which I've only had about a month. I live in Twyford which is just outside Reading. Reg number is L862 MJB - Please get in contact ASAP if you have more info. Number above
  22. My Car was stolen this morning from Twyford - Please get in contact !!!! 07921 289 941
  23. My Pure Sport ones in my N/A look lovely and new, no complaints here :-)
  24. Jesus thats awful !!! Haven't got my camera with me today but I can safely say it's nowhere near as bad as that, mine is just a few scratches when compared.
  25. I'm slighty concerned about the rear of mine because the front of the Escort looked pretty bad, radiator leaking etc. Front is OK, I think I only nudged the Rover and the main damage came from his tow bar. Once I've got all the insurance stuff sorted I'll give you a call Pig. Thanks guys for being so quick to respond. (Too poor for a new bodykit :-( )
