Appreciate the post chris and the advice. By all acounts from people on this site you are the best in this area (and lots of others too) and from that alone I would bring the car to you. I have however already spoken to you about this car and I do appreciate your honesty but the impression I got was you would prefer to stay clear due to the fact the car has 19s on it. I understand your view and agree that the car will never handle like on stock but the reason I want to get the full alignment done is because there is an issue with it (and always has been). Whilst im at it I would also like to get the camber etc ajusted to suit 19" wheels as best as possible.
-
fair enough, im specifically looking at the alignment rig they have got.
-
How come Ian?
-
Has anyone used RC Developments in Warrington for a full alignment on their supra??
-
Guys, who is going to this?
-
Yep ill be there, usual time 7:30 ??
-
Was thinking about people from the north west going and perhaps traveling down together - basically as I have no idean where im going

Anyone know anything about or going to the Santa Pod's Saturday night special rwyb on the 17th Feb?

Having tested one of these on my own aerotop i can say they do make a big difference but only with the top off. With the top on it makes hardly any noticanle difference. The flex on the rear end was noticable even over small bumps in the road, once fitted it was greatly reduced. It will not iradicate the flex though large bumps still effect the back of the car. In my opinion anyone who has tried these on an areotop and said it makes sod all difference is because they did not have it ajusted correctly. Unfortunatly I had to send mine back to the supplier due to an issue in the mount bracket but im awaiting my replacement from Carbing.

Changed all four on my 94 Jspec, fronts were bad, both split and the bar channel was an oval shape Backs were not that bad. I was amased at the difference on control in the corners, lot solider feeling when weight is transfered. Fairly easy job, back was a bit more difficult due to location but not a biggie
-
Its fairly straight forward on your scale for dificulty of the job I would say a 3 but the important thing as phoenix has said is to take your time. The two critical parts are splitting the light (keep checking them so as not to over heat) and then resealing them again. I found it better to use just too much sealant and take the excess of with a flat edge. Sparaying them the colour of the car looks ace except if the cars black as they just look like facelift ones. Good look

Im after some parts for the rear of my MKIV NA supra. Rear Control arms upper and lower - both sides. Rear Sway bars - Both Sides Rear wishbones - both sides. not really bothered about the state of the bushes as im replacing them. Cheers
-
anyone make any other recommendations apart from Chris?
-
Cheers Nic, the handling issues were there before I had the wheels on, only got them a few months ago. Sure being 19's they do pull with the camber of the road but you can feel that through the wheel, this issue there is no feedback through the wheel. Ill give Chris a shout and see how I get on, Cheers

50 miles - not bad cheers guys
-
thanks very much for the advice I will give Chris a call tomorrow about the geometry, besides not liking 19's is he fairly approchable? Roughly where is it as RAC gas decided to through a wobbler!

tyres are 235/35/19 but it did exactly the same with 16s on it?
-
does anyone know anywhere decent (that you would trust your car with) in the northwest that could check this?
-
you could say vague! say you steer round a 90 degree bend you steer and hold the wheel at x position to get you round the bend, the car will turn and then pull more into the corner, this is when the steering goes light. But it seems random which I suppose it could depend on the steering angle. its a 94 so are the Variable PAS on the facelift models? is there any way to tell?
-
Since I have owned the car (jSPEC MkIV NA) I have had issues with the front end round corners . I put it down to crap tyres but now I have my new 235's on the front so its not that. Its not tracking either as its been laser alligned twice and all is fine. The one thing I notice after reading other threads is the PAS on mine does not seem ( I say seem, i cant notice it) to be variable and I have convinced myself its due to the crap speedo convertor. Basically I just want someone to sanity check it before I blow £120 on the Thor one if thats not the issue. As I said the PAS does not seem to vary with speed and the major issue is that on turn in (say approx 30-40 MPH) the steering seems very light. It feels as though it goes lighter as the car tightens into the corner, let the steering off to correct it and its less tight into the corner, turn in some more and it may do it again may not. Im talking really small amounts of turn in and out but its annoying. It upsets the back of the car and give no confidence to put the car into a corner. Any help greatly appreciated. Mike
