  1. Here is were I have got my information from, I dont think autogas will ever be the same or more expensive than petrol. http://www.greenfuel.org.uk/ How will it affect my car's performance Modern LPG conversions suffer no noticeable loss of performance. Engines will run smoother and be slightly quieter. For more details, see What is LPG? Will it damage my engine? On the contrary, the LPG conversion will reduce engine wear. LPG burns cleaner than petrol. This means less emissions out of the exhaust and less carbon deposits in the engine. These deposits are very abrasive and can contribute to engine breakdowns. The oil and spark plugs will also last longer. For more details, see What is LPG? What is going to happen to LPG prices? The Government has committed itself to reducing pollution. The environmental credentials of LPG are proven. Therefore it is extremely unlikely that the duty differential between LPG and petrol and diesel will be reduced. For more details, see What Is LPG. There would be no point in converting a non performance car, depends what you say is a performance car, as they are what uses most petrol so would be more worth while converting? I dont think it would be worth converting a smaller engine car considering the amount of petrol they use anyway. There is 2 systems you can get single point is the older which would not be recommended as its prone to backfiring the multi point is the way to go from the garages I have spoke to.

  6. It makes no difference to performance its better for the engine and although you do use more of the autogas than petrol coz its so cheap it still saves you money. The tank goes were the spare wheel sits and Im sure will be big enough to get you to the shops! I dont think it can be done on turbos or not TT's anyway as the power is too much. The government has froze the price of autogas for the next few years I think but anyway if it goes up it wont be much compared to petrol as its not refined from oil, it will save money even if it goes up coz theres no way it can ever cost more than petrol spec the way petrol cost is increasing! Ive asked on a few other sites and they have nothing bad to say about it. We plan to keep the supra and will save money doing that even if we only drive it at the weekend considering a full tank gets about 250 miles!
  7. We have a 2nd car just now a diesel 306 only had it for 4 days and its already needing back axle bushes!! So our plan is to fix it think thats only going to cost £70 then get the Supra converted to Autogas seems a shame to have the Supra to only drive at weekends and drive a heap of a 306 during the week!!
  8. Where about in Central Scotland is this guy? Thats just where we live and may be very interested in this
  9. Im sure you all know how much petrol Supras drink even N/A! Has anyone ever thought about it? I have had a few quotes and it would cost around £2000 but you would make your money back depending on mileage in a year or 2. Would save having 2 cars which means 2 mot 2 servicing 2 road taxes! Also seems a shame to have the Supra and only drive it at the weekend! Also im sure you get cheap road tax as well!
  10. Yeah I did they look really good as well im stuck between them and multi spokes!! Dont know if silver alloys would look better or black!!
  11. How much for the Weds SA-70 in black chrome finish Nick?? Any other pics without messing up the colour!!

    New Car!

Just an update on the noise problem. Took the wheel off today to find that the inner front brake disc on both sides was seized and the nearside one was actually down to the metal! Got the discs skimmed and they are like brand new and ordered new pads. Collected the new pads today from the local motor factors only to find they were the wrong ones, so had to nurse the car home after freeing up the brakes from my work! So need to re-order pads tomorrow. Does anyone happen to have the Toyota part number for the front brake pads for a 1995 M reg NZ Supra? Cheers, Mitch.
  13. I like the black with chrome lip might see if someone can photo shop them on a black supra! or maybe silver alloys would stand out more I dunno!!
  14. As above to help us decide which wheels and size will look good on our new car.

    New Car!

I took it to a garage and they told me it was a warped disc but since then its started making the other noise as well!! Ill need to get someone to look at it again. I will post pics of the car up not me with a hovis on my head lol and I do have a boyfriend who I live with and unfortunately share the Supra with! He will maybe put a hovis on his head for you!!

    New Car!

When you are driving along and press the brakes, the car makes a grinding noise like the disc is warped. Then when you move off again the noise is there and sounds like the disc is catching on the pad at the same bit everytime the wheel goes around. But when you get back up to speed the noise disappears. There is also a high pitched noise coming from the brakes too, like the pads are hitting the disc, again it sounds like it is hitting the same bit on the disc every time the wheels turns. I hope that makes any sense?! That is about as clear as I can make it, sorry :? Thanks

    New Car!

Hi everyone got the Supra last night! I will post up pictures tomorrow as its getting a good clean! There is a little problem though one or some of the brake discs are warped, the noise it makes when braking is like a rumble from the left hand side I think the front so do you think it would only be the front left that needed replaced? The garage I took it to said they couldnt tell which it was.
  22. Would they headlights fit my model? Also I take it cooking them doesnt take the cloudyness away?! The badges look pretty cool anyone ordered them before? Will they know what size etc to make them just there is holes and the shape of the old badge left on the car!
