  1. Bump This had a new exhaust fitted yesterday as it was blowing a little.
  2. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=142740
  3. Where is that information from and is there any proof to backup the claims?
  4. Have a look at this thread for drag times and setups etc http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=29073
  5. Not a bad idea in warmer climates. post it up so we can read it. nope, the supra in stock form uses direct fire ignition, by converting to wasted spark you are halving the charge time on the coil, this causes issues with the spark not being strong enough, the result is ignition breakup and misfiring. The AEM ECU converts the ignition system to wasted spark as it doesnt have enough coil outputs, this is why a HKS DLI is required. do you have any links, has it been done on a supra before and does it run in piggyback on the stock ECU?
  6. Generally they dont go together. I suggest you do a lot more reading and decide what you want.
  7. Do you want a fast drag car or a street car?
  8. I think he is in South Africa.
  9. Is the car MAF(UK/US) or MAP(jspec) based? 1000cc injectors * some 800cc would be enough for this dictator engine management * never heard of it, is it a full replacement or piggyback stage 1 boost cooler * do you mean oil cooler, if so then yeah good idea HKS super sequential dumpvale * should be fine turbonetics wastegate * dont have any experience of this, HKS wastegate are good 268 intake cams * no experience with these, HKS 264 inlet would be ok 278 exhaust cams * no experience with these, HKS 264 exhaust would be ok wasted spark * this is not normally something you choose, if the car is running wasted spark after the ECU swap then a HKS DLI will be required. clutch * there are plenty of clutches to support this power but not stock as it wont last long. good brakes * yes
  10. OK we are kind of on the right track now, 600hp is a much more realistic figure. The cost of a twin setup for 600hp is not worth it, a single would be fine. Look into the GT4088R and BL T67 setups

It is loud yes, if you ever want to track the car then its a major prob as you can only go on noisy unrestricted days which cost more and are rare.

The wastegate routing would be a big selling point for me as its a real pita having to get one custom made.
  13. Let me just clear something up, have you done any research? Did you wake up one morning and think I want a 900hp supra without looking into it
  14. How has a T67 all of sudden been able to produce 800hp. The most we have seen here is approx 600-650hp
  15. Then buy a V8 as any turbo of that size is going to be crap on the road
  16. Depends which model GT42 he is talking about, there are a few so maybe somewhere in the region of 70-75. This is not a street turbo http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/products/turbochargers.html
  17. If you are refering to the likes of T61 and T67 then no its no way near a T64, to flow enough air for 800-900hp its going to be a fair bit larger.

For someone wanting a small single on a tubular manifold this looks like a good option. I am not sure how many cast manifolds are available these days.

A lot of that will be down to a cast manifold compared to a tubular manifold.

Thats a nice looking kit Nic, didnt know HKS did a GT35R kit I thought people sourced them seperately.

Ryans graph has different scale across the bottom as it starts in the lower rev range therefore stretching out the curve
