  1. Templepatrick mate, you near by? I'll send you over the link .
  2. Thanks again folks, your replies are most helpful. I think on second thoughts I should have another look at the Active Spoiler and check to be 100 % sure. Nic your post was very very informative, thank you. The HKS SSQV isn't really my bag, so would likely get swapped out for a stock one anyway. I do think I would have an expert to have a look over the Supra. There are a few people knowledgeable on them near me, so I guess it wouldn't be a problem asking them to have a look over it for me.
  3. Thanks for the replies folks . I am speculating on the car at the moment so haven't purchased it. I don't know its been over heating, im just a little suspicious. I unfortunately didn't check the dipstick , but this has been mentioned to me, to see if they mayo has been round the whole system. I tried most of those combinations key combinations to no joy .
  4. Folks, Hopefully you can help me with a Supra I am looking at purchasing. Any feedback would be appreciated, they may be some common issues. Don't worry I have been searching on here too. Its a 93 UK Auto TT. Active Spoiler - This isn't working. None of the buttons work to manually raise or lower it. Ok you cant give me the exact diagnosis. It it common for the Active Spoiler to fail, blow a fuse, motor to die etc. There is some mayo under the oil cap. Nothing major just a little round the metal seal/spring. The car has been sat and not run for a while could this be the cause, as opposed to anything major i.e. head gasket. Possibly related to the above, it seems the car has recently had a new radiator fitted. The top radiator hose has a little hardened mayo or similar on one of the rad hoses. This is where the top hose connects to the hard pipe that leads to the motor. (this and the above point leave me a tad concerned there has been some over heating going on) HKS SSQD dump valve jobbie. I guess its a love or hate thing, have they been known to cause any issues? Any help is most appreciated.
  5. A nice interesting read Gman, keep up the good work IMO. I'm sure we would all love to have a go in the 400bhp n/a. Is there much gains to be had from head work on the n/a? A nice port and polish shouldnt cost too much.
  6. Excellent mate thanks... Has anyone went down the sport cat route?
  7. Thanks Alex, that makes sense... What about issues with emissions with no cats then? Really for the MOT test I concerned about.
  8. TLicense - please do keep me posted, appreciate it. Im sure it may be informative for other members too. Chris, not a problem, I will be in touch closer to the time with a shopping list. Also Cheis while you are here, whats your preferred method of contact? I have a good few queries on your suspension setup etc... Is email ok?
  9. jamesmark - thanks for the reply... What about removing the first cat and keeping the second? Will this be a better solution in terms of reducing the restriction as a well as keeping the emissions above board? BTW this would be for a JDM Sup...
  10. Just as you mention that the TT uses a twin intercooler setup and thats on an 1800 4 cylinder.. The S3 possibly does too...
  11. Ill maybe have to have a look for this... Hopefully the CW SMIC would do the job.
  12. A clay bar may be able to help, assuming is it over spray or "over brush"
  13. Folks, Just wondering what the limits on the CW SMIC are? With the stock system being rather efficient and the CW SMIC improving on this, im wondering how efficient it is with this upgrade? I ask as it would suit to keep the SMIC setup when say running the PHR Stage 1 Kit? Perhaps there are others running even more extreme setups? Will the CW SMIC setup be enough??
  14. Folks, Just a quick query as it has been covered slightly before. Im really after confirmation... If I remove one cat, will it be ok for MOT emissions (assuming everything else is ok)? Also with the single cat, will it be safe without using a restrictor ring? Or is a restrictor wise to use just in case? Bare in mind im thinking of going for the HKS Titanum Racing Zorst, I assume this doesnt remove the second cat. I believe its cat back? So ill need a decat pipe to remove the second cat, leaving the first in place. Also on a note regarding the cats. Has anyone just bored and ripped out the standard cats as an alternative to buying a decat pipe? Many thanks, Neil
  15. Thanks Nic + Rayman. As much as I would prefer to go for the under dog regarding exhausts and save money, it seems the "HKS Hiper Titanium Race Series Exhaust" seems to have a great rep. Ive a video of it too. sounds excellent
  16. £1,123 from Envy lol, dear enough, but when compared to others ...
  17. Im aware of the weight savings that a titanium exhaust offers. But are there any other benefits to a stainless steel system? Do they oxidise like a mild steel system? Are they brittle? Im liking the price and spec of the R1 Amuse Ti system, with 80mm pipework. Any thoughts out there? Anyone use the system to comment on its sound? The Nur Spec R is a safe bet, is it drony on the motorway though? Thanks folks....
  18. Terminator, Just as a work around AOL. You could try Zipping the file using WinZip... As you could find the email servers and software is trying to read the dat files thinking it is something else. dat files commonly being used on computers of course.

    BOVs

Is it not true that they can cause issues with fuelling etc? As the air is metered before is goes through the Dump Valve, there fore the ECU send fuel in accordingly...?
