  1. drove home and the speed convertor seems to be working fine, the speedo works and gives approx correct speed. In which case what else could it be? thanks
  2. hmm,I did take the screws out the back of the speedo for the speed convertor, although I put back exactly the same way. The speedo does seem to work correctly though
  3. I have done a bit of reading on this, it might be that resetting my ecu has shown the fault, along with the fact perhaps I had a dodgy connector, when turning the ignition on the EML blinks 4 times and then 2, pointing to NO1 speed sensor. I have had to use the paperclip method but do i presume i have understood right. Please note the red warning tringle on the dash has never illuminated. If it is the sensor where is it located and where`s the best place to get one, and also is it ok to drive the car while I am awaiting sorry for all the queastions
  4. Help...... yesterday I started to change over my dials on the car, I disconnected the battery and changed the dials and all was fine, however after going out and testing found everything was working except the display panel to the right wasnt working properly. I noticed it had a intermittent connection as there is something wrong with the plug, however after thinking I had sorted it , the engine management light kept flashing first twice, then 4 times on a loop. I cant remember if the display panel was working before I changed the dials and I just hadnt noticed or that i`ve done something wrong. The car seemed to drive ok I thought however I dont want to do any damage. Is it a case that it could have stored a fault code but I did not know because the display panel wasnt working correctly, or is it something i`ve done Any help would be very much appreciated...
  5. Surrey, but that doesnt matter, i`d send the dash parts wherever by courier
  6. anyone want to do a set, I will pay for their time, its just I dont have time at the moment and need to get it sorted
  7. Hi, does anyone on the forum do a bit of dash spraying on the side, if someone could let me know or if they could pm me I would be grateful its about time I think I did something with my dashboard trims

  10. hello, these are calipers are still available, locoblade can you clear your messages, I cant send you a pm
  11. I have a set of UK spec front calipers for sale, they cost me £200 inc post from a member 2 weeks ago, sold to me in full working order. The reason I am selling is I bought a full set of front and rear calipers (new) and therefore no longer need these. All I want is to cover my costs with these, any takers let me know asap. Great upgrade for a J-spec thanks 07831147200
  12. Can anyone advise me I have a set of Advan AVS 18" and had the rear tyres replaced. The car just feelt a bit twitchy at the back although it might just be me, I have noticed that although they have put the tyres on the correct side by rotation, they have put the wheels on the opposite side to what they were, and I seem to remember once when I had a Celica GT4 that that had directional handed wheels as well as tyres, so my question is are these wheels made so that one goes on the o/s and one goes on the n/s Thanks in advance for any help
  13. Hi, can anyone recommend a company to recondition a set of J-spec Supra turbos with new shafts etc, my normal supplier is not keen on doing these as he says the shafts he used to use used to snap, so I want something reliable. Thanks in advance
  14. Been toying with the idea of getting a speed camera detector, heard of the New Road Angel Navigator as not only is it a speed camera detector but also a Sat Nav, although the guy in Halfords kept trying to get me to buy the TomTom as he said the Navigator was too slow for the sat nav. I do want also the facility for the mobile units as well as they seem to be appearing everywhere and you cant be too careful, although not sure if the TomTom does this. Opinions or advise would be greatly appreciated
  15. dont worry James, thats happening on a lot of cars now,

  17. yep, was good to meet you all that I did, and with the advice given i`m making plans to spend money already on the car, just cant make my mind up which one to do first....so i`ll do them all I think
  18. I sell EBC discs but I wouldnt recommend them for a Supra, in cases like this i find under heavy braking they grind
  19. god, i`m glad I pulled out before you lot, had a scrape already on my lower spoiler this morning thanks to a pothole, didnt want any more damage:ecstatic: It was good to meet those I did and finally put names to faces, I look forward to the next one
  20. Thanks a lot for that, was worth a thought but although most posts are dated several years ago there are some current bad reports. So, its back to some setup advice. I dont want to spend loads and loads because I will have more parts to buy, I am a 3G & EBC distributor so it makes sense for me use the 3G brakes, I prefer those over EBC. It seems the EBC brake pads dont seem to last, so its either go for Supra 4 pot calipers with 3G brake discs and a recommendation for pads, or go for some other brake set up, I did read the KAD kit was competetively priced....opinions please
  21. i`m going to look at one of these next week, 6 pot caliper with 360mm discs, anybody ever bought a set.
  22. Nic, is the price for the claipers in the column for each caliper or the pair?
  23. ignore that, it went into my junk box. I`ve replied cheers
