  1. I need to remove the black trim thing that sits on the bodywork that the glass in the door shuts against. The passenger side one is very scruffy and needs replacing but i cant see any screws. Is it bonded on like the windows are or am i just being stupid?? thanks in advance
  2. ordered a JDL bodykit (yeah i know its getting popular now:rolleyes:) and the sideskirts turned up today with a sheat saying one of 2 packages. So i phoned UPS and they said that one is still "going around in poland ". I hope i get it soon as the car is literally in pieces on the drive at the moment, lol. has anyone else had any problems with deliveries from JDL performance?
  3. Ive seen these on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Kicker-EX5-2-2-Way-Component-Speaker-System_W0QQitemZ270228558415QQihZ017QQcategoryZ18800QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem or http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Kicker-ES5-2-Component-Speakers-Set-5-inch-12cm-135w_W0QQitemZ290194855299QQihZ019QQcategoryZ14941QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247 and wondered whether they were any good? Ive had kicker components in the past and thought they were great although they did cost considerably more money. At the moment though i only have a budget of about £50 Or would it be worth my upgrading to 6.5" like these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-KICKER-DS650-2-6-5-2-Way-Car-Component-Speaker_W0QQitemZ280218325348QQihZ018QQcategoryZ18800QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem or http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Kicker-ES65-2-61-2-component-Speakers-midbass-tweeters_W0QQitemZ110237582149QQihZ001QQcategoryZ18800QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247
  4. After my girlfriend buying her first NA supra last weekend ive found a few little problems but just typical niggles of a car this age. The most annoying on which though is The remote central locking on my supra key doesnt work. The guy who owned it before me took it to toyota and they had a look but said they couldnt do anything because its an import. anyone got any ideas what may get it working? thanks in advance
  5. so are these suitable for a do luck front bumper to fit nice in the recess bit??
  6. can someone please help me, is this a set of facelift sidelights: I know they are smaller than the pre facelift ones but i dont know what the newer ones look like and want to be sure i have the right ones. cheers rich
  7. has this got facelift headlights: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1996-TOYOTA-SUPRA-RZ-3-0-6spd-Petrol_W0QQitemZ110237944550QQihZ001QQcategoryZ18290QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem i have the same lights on my car, and they were really yellowish so i buffed them up and then realised they were black so now im not sure if ive got facelit lights or not, lol. can someone help?? thanks
  8. its is in need of a desperate engine service, the bonnet and roof is sprayed in matt black with cans and its a CAT D writeoff on dec 2006, just a few things to think about as i was seriously considering this as a project but ended up getting a mint NA manual for just a little more!!
  9. it may have something to do with the terrible conditions i sometimes have to work in :s
  10. even with barcoat ive had reactions. I find spraying it very thinly will create no reactions. Then just use a heatgun to warm up the panel and get all the solvent evapourated. Then add clear and you should be fine. It seems to work for me at least anyway
  11. i would agree with this. ive never applied a fresh coat in wet form before as i would almost definatly get runs all over the place. Always used a flash coat followed by a wet coat and never had problems
  12. ditto on the comment about the thinners. Had more than a few jobs go bad due to reactions because of this.
  13. when i re-clear a freshly sprayed car i flat it first with P800. I think any more corse than this and you risk having marks showing. just out of interest, why do you need to reclear? What exactly are you doing??
  14. can anyone suggest insurance for a 19yr old on a UK TT. My bro has just put a deposit down on one but hasnt tried for insurance yet. He did have a skyline and at 18 this was £2300 with 2yrs no claims (before you ask he had an accelerated policy to get 2yrs ncb in 18months:) ) He doesnt mind paying the same sort of figure again but his previous insurer (adrian flux) quoted him £4.5K!!!! Is there any where else that would be able to help?
  15. standard UK TT apart from 4" catback exhaust, i think he just wants to do the basic mods first. Taking off the decats, upping the boost to 1.2bar, fuel pump and FCD. This should see him to 400BHP yes?
  16. hi, im looking for a downpipe for my brothers supra and came across this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Toyota-Supra-93-98-MK4-DownPipe_W0QQitemZ110017255918QQihZ001QQcategoryZ38786QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem i just wanted to make sure these will replace both cats and what actual power gains he can expect form it.
